| When I first went to the school I thought it was great and Steiner is known world wide. Until I found out the Associate of Science degree was bullshit. Your credits do not transfer to any other college. That's just how they base their financial aid. I have been going to the school since Sept. of 2010 and I took up the Paramedical Program. I only wanted to do it for the hours because I plan on leaving the State of Florida. Well, since I started the Paramedical Program this last week, supposedly every 5 weeks you are supposed to get PCA certified because those are the products they use in Paramedical. Well, the school has decided to do it twice a year. Which means I now have to wait till August to get certified almost around the time I'm supposed to start clinicals, and you can NOT get use the product if you are NOT PCA certified, I can't even get the proper books I need for class about PCA until I'm certified. It's absolutley ridculous. I have report due and I don't even have the books I need to know. It makes class very difficult. This was all part of my tution and education they promised. I have asked administration and all they can say is "I don't Know, We don't want to call the distributors because Corporate deals with that". I am a paying student and for my education to be so Unorganized I have decided to take action. How can I possibly learn with out the proper equipment I need for class, and How can I learn PCA if I'm not certified to work with PCA products, so all the other students who have been in class for a couple of months can give to me but I can't practice and give back. As far as the instruction of the school, their is none. There is no structure. They never have enough equipment or product. During our make-up class we were told were going to have professionals who know the field and teach us a week in make-up, No, We were all thown under the bus to teach ourselves. Their was No instruction. The curriculm is old and not updated. Also I was told that they are suppose to help you find a job when you are done school, well the career advisor has told me " Oh no there are'nt a lot of jobs out there in this field." Wow that's uplifting and encouraging. That's not what they tell you when you sign up for the school. I only wanted the best education for myself as everyone else does. I feel neglected, and the fact that the school does'nt care about the student. We the student should always come first. I have been lied to about everything under the sun, I'm paying for books, products, equipment, instructors, adminstration, for what? As much money as this school is taking from students there should always be enough of everything, I can't believe they are charging $25,000 to each student and we end up with a useless degree that is not recognized by any other educational institution when I was told that my credits would indeed transfer. I will end up with a degree I can't use, that isn't recognized and does not prepare me for the future I had dreamed of. Disappointed, disgusted and disllusioned..My only hope is that someone who is thinking of going to this school will read this and not make the decision I did. I also hope a FULL investigation by the States Attorneys office and the Florida Board of Education will uncover all the lies, and unethical procedures this school has demonstrated. Disappointed? I am in total DISBELIEF THAT A SCHOOL OF ITS SO CALLED CALIBER CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS!!! AND ALL OF OUR MONEY AND GIVE US NOTHING WE CAN USE IN RETURN!!! |
