I just dealt with the what has to be the worst AC company in Florida. Its called Florida A/C Service and Duct Cleaning

My wife and I wanted to get our AC ducts cleaned during the winter thinking we could get a better deal and a head start on spring, so we called this company we found in the Clipper Magazine.

They had a coupon that advertised duct cleaning and a complete AC tune up which included the coil cleaning. There deal seemed better than the other companies, so we made an appointment for today.

So anyway, These two techs, show up about a half an hour late and ask to see the AC. The first thing they did was told me the AC was very old, I had mold, and I only had a week left to get Obama's AC rebate. Later I found out that the rebate in question was frozen in September and that it originally went to the 31st of December which was not a week away, but 3 weeks. Of course, I didn't hire the guy for his degree in mathematics. I just wanted him to clean my ducts.

They told me they could install a new unit for $3900.00. I just wanted my ducts and coils cleaned for $79.00. So, I told them to write me an estimate and to go ahead and get to work on those ducts and the coils. Then the guy told me that the coil cleaning was gonna be another 50 bucks. So, I showed the guy the coupon and he started to argue with me. So, I showed it to him again and he said I'm not going to stand here and argue with you, so I told him to get out. Then the guy went on about how I was giving him an attitude so, I insisted that he leave and told him that I would call somebody else. Have a nice day!

To my credit, I didn't yell or swear once, but I really did not want those guys in my house any longer. My wife even commented on how well I handled the situation.

I called the company again to explain the situation. I spoke to a representative who transferred me to a manager. Naomi I believe. She said she would speak to the techs, find out why they didn't honor the coupon, and call me right back. Well, about 45 minutes went by and she didn't call back. So, I called back, and guess what. She was out to lunch. I spoke to several different representatives who sounded suspiciously like the same person and progressively gave me more and more attitude. They told me she's in a meeting, she's up stairs, she will call you back in 20 minutes. Several hours later, I still hadn't received that call.

After that, I went online to find their company. I found their website.

AND!!!! I found several complaints about them on the Better Business Bureau's website and on . Please, all my friends and family, always check these sites before you do business with anyone. I have never been so glad not to get a great deal in my life. ..and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not do business with Florida A/C Service and Duct Cleaning.
