A while ago my sons Xbox stopped working.. It had what they call red rings. Thats fine we have insurance. We sent it in. When he received it back it was unable to download updates. We called again and again were told to send it in.
This time they only needed the hard drive. They were going to transfer all of his points and data etc. and replace it with a new hard drive. It was shipped on 12/03/10.
A few days later someone who did not speak very good english called and wanted to know if we had sent in a controller with our hard drive. I told him no. He said that the new hard drive will be shipped in 10 days.
Well 12/30/10 no hard drive so far.. Called the Flextronics Fullfilment Center in Laredo Texas. I spent 3 hours on the phone and spoke with 3 Johns and 2 Ericas none of which seemed to be in the USA never mind Laredo Texas. I asked why they all had the same names and they told me they were just common names.. HMMMMM.. OK on with the call..Ready for this...
First they never received a package from me and then when I provided the tracking number and gave the date of delivery...of 12/06/10 they remembered I only sent them a controller.
Andto prove it to me it was already shipped back to me in the original packaging...Where this item is, you guess is as good as mine.
They assured me they were to launch a full scale investigation. They told me they take pictures as they are opening the packages. If someone lost and or stole the item it would make sense they would take the picture with the mysterious controller. When I told the woman on the phone my thoughts she said they would never steal I must of thought I put the hard drive in the package when it really was a controller. Now I know sometimes I am a little over worked like the rest of us but really I would of had to be awake for days to confuse the two.
She also told me I needed to prove what I sent..Is there anyone reading this that can help me prove what I packaged.
Heres what I need. Someone from Flextronics, Microsoft and or Xbox to please call me or ripoff.com. Prefferably someone who speaks good english, is in america and some what reasonable.
My son deserves a working XBOX.. I am not even sure it was the hard drive ..who knows. He also deserves to be compensated for the information he has accumalted on his hard drive. EX.points etc.
I am asking everyone to please help my son get someones attention.. I have included email addresses I could find on line..I am not sure if they are working but please try. Maybe if they will not listen to me. They will hear you.
Thank you all for your help. Lisa
Remember, if you decide to try this route, send your email to each address separately; apparently Microsoft will if you send it to a group of addresses.
