| Stay AWAY from FlexQueen.com. I had purchased a replacement LCD screen from FlexQueen for an LG Sentio cell phone I was working on in early June, 2011 . The price for the LCD had been the cheapest on the web at the time and shipping seemed reasonable-enough. The shipping method I chose was "Air 2-5 Business Days" thinking the shipping would be thru UPS and that the package would be insured. However, that wasn't the case. The package arrived uninsured thru USPS Priority Mail. Why can't Flexqueen simply say Priority Mail shipping? Why the BS? I opened the box when the LCD arrived. I found the LCD in an unsealed plastic bag wrapped inside a paper towel inside the box among a small amount of shredded newspaper. I knew I was about to get "taken". I later discovered while reading the "About Us" section of FlexQueen's website they say not to assume all parts they have would be new. That's not too good to find that information in their "About Us" section. I at least hoped the LCD would be good and at least packaged properly for static and dust protection considering the component might not be new. I was saddened to see the LCD wasn't new, but actually looked older than the one I was replacing! Theirs was shabby-looking, had wrinkles in the connector ribbon, wasnt clean-looking and had fingerprint smudges on the back side. At least it was the right component I had needed. It had also had a protective film over the LCD so I took a chance and was careful to install it. Ive installed these LCD components before in cell phones along with digitizer touch panels. Ive never had a problem before, but this time when I powered the phone up the LCD showed two rows of black or dead pixels. I called the company, had called twice in fact, once before ordering about a shipping inquiry and one more time about the LCD being defective. I had to leave a message both times I called. I also sent an email explaining everything and that I wanted some info about getting an RMA and hopefully a replacement LCD. I never got a reply from FlexQueen, not even an email - nothing - even after Paypal contacted them with my dispute! The item was supposed to have a 30-day warranty against manufacturer defects, said it right on the item page on the website. I escalated my dispute to a Paypal claim for a full refund. Paypal replied the same day saying they'd give me a full refund once I mailed the LCD back to the company in original condition and tracking information showed them that the LCD was delivered. As I write this I'm waiting for my refund from Paypal minus return shipping. The defective LCD is on its' way back to FlexQueen as the tracking number was also provided to Paypal. |
