Fleming's Ultimate Garage
Fleming's Ultimate Garage Worst experience for Internet Car Purchase Rockville, Maryland
17th of May, 2011 by User593223
In February, my wife and I reached an agreement to purchase a 2001 Ferrari 360 from Fleming's, including trading a 1982 Ferrari 308. Fleming's car was advertised on ebay, 2/22/11, item #170604767695, and advertised on their website. An agreement to purchase was entered 3/1/11 with trade-in value after detailed current photos were provided of our car to Fleming's and after much discussion with the sales representative. We offered to have our car available for an inspection by anyone they wanted to send out in order to verify the condition of our automobile. That offer was declined by the sales representative, Tom Tamm. Our 308 is presently listed on their website. Their 360 vehicle was advertised as "flawless condition" and as having a tool kit, as well as the top was represented "as new with no holes or wear marks." We inquired and (among other discussions) were assured that it had the tool kit as well as service records. Upon receipt of our 308 car, we were contacted by Tom Tamm saying that our car's paint had issues, was smoking and there was a "spinning thing" on the motor (which is a standard part of the motor). He wanted the immediate wiring of $8,000 for advanced service expenses, or we could have our car shipped back. We were assured that we would be provided receipts for all repairs, with the return of the unused portion of the $8,000. The 360 was shipped to us filthy inside and with parts removed and in the trunk area, and without a tool kit or service records. Also, the car had two holes in the top and a gash in the body of the car. Our spotless trade-in was immediately on their website as "just serviced, ready to enjoy." None of the alleged damage was noted. We requested the tool kit and return of the $8,000. If any of the $8,000 was used, the return of the remainder with documentation of repairs. I have a recorded conversation with Fleming's of being promised we would be shipped a tool kit. We have not received the took kit or our money. They say our old car (advertised as serviced) is still being worked on. I even sent Fleming's ebay item numbers for Ferrari 360 took kits, and no response. We want our money and a Ferrari 360 tool kit as promised. Their vehicle was not as advertised, they improperly kept $8,000, and they have breached oral promises. I have purchased multiple high-end vehicles and Fleming's Ultimate Garage has been the worst experience I have ever had with a purchase.
