FIZEK keeps charging your card long after you're gone Niles, Ohio |

Hi boys and girls that love to live healthy: You've all seen our refurbished and very stylish FIZEK gym at the Eastwood Mall. Lots of friendly faces inside, people always ready to help you and their equipment was flawless. So far no problems here. That what I thought as well, until I decided it's time to leave FIZEK. Now, I signed contract with FIZEK on February, 2010 for a period of 1 year. When signing that contract I explained to the manager that due to my business obligations I might not respect that contract to the end. I was told by the manager that wouldn't be a problem, standard procedure in quitting the contract is to give some brief explanation as to why you're leaving and that's it. You're Scott free. So I left FIZEK and talked to the manager who tried to keep me any way possible. Ok nothing new there, they all want to suck your hard earned money. After half an hour of him prying into my business and reasons as to why the hell would I ever leave FIZEK I lost my patience and politely declined every possible offer he had to give me, said my goodbye and hung up. Several days later I get a call from FIZEK staff begging me to to put my contract with them at some kind of hold until I come back, I mean these guys just don't want to stop! I told them I have no idea when I'm coming back and hung up the phone again. Month goes by and I see at my bank account I got charged 30 dollars from FIZEK! I called my bank and disputed that and then I called those characters at FIZEK and tried my damnedest to be polite. Anyway, they said I have no right to leave and that they will continue to charge me month by month until my contract expires. Oh and they also threatened me with a lawyer!!! Unbelievable huh? This little gym with oh how fancy phonetically written name(physique--FIZEK get it?) threatens me with a lawyer. Now nobody has right to keep me somewhere against my will, they know that very good, so only explanation to their action is pathetic attempt at milking me for all my worth. If I didn't have better things to do i would counter sue that little ego proving grounds aka FIZEK. So there you go, read that fine unholy print at the bottom of the contract with FIZEK. Dont listen to manager when he tells you it's ok to leave whenever you want. It's not and they will do whatever it takes to get your money. Oh and I had to close down my bank account so that FIZEK can't take my money anymore. |
