To All Car Buyers, I strongly encourage you to avoid Five Star Ford Lincoln in Warner Robins--the people that work there lack integrity. After three hours of negotiating on a new Ford Fiesta, I finally signed the paperwork and agreed to a price. I was with my wife and son and we were very, very specific that the car had to be an automatic because the car was for my wife and that is all she knows how to drive. Our other prerequisites were power locks/power windows, a/c, color red. They had a red automatic on the lot, but it had the bluetooth and higher fuel package, but we told them that we didn't need those two options because the wife doesn't do any highway driving and she doesn't own a cell phone. The salesmen started searching online and finally told my wife and I that they had found us a vehicle just like we wanted, but it was in North Carolina and it would take a few days to get it. We agreed on a price and I filled out and signed all of the paperwork. The next morning, the salesman called me at work and told me that the car they ordered was a five-speed. He asked me if that would be okay. I said, absolutely not--I told you that my wife only knew how to drive an automatic. The salesman asked me if I could come back in after I got off work to see if there was something on the lot that we might like. He also told me that they would make things right with us. Long story short, when I went back to the dealership, I was told that they could not sell me the car at that price and that I would have to pay more money. I wasn't in the mood to hear what they were were going to quote and I got extremely upset. We had agreed upon a price the night before and now I find out that the saleman made a mistake (i.e., quoted the price of a std instead of the automatic). What really upset me was that the GM tried to shift the blame on me for not looking clsely enough at the bill of sale. Then, the GM showed virtually no remorse for the dealership's mistake. The the GM had the nerve to insult me by trying to make me pay more money for his saleman's mistake. Take it from an Air Force veteran, do not do business with this dealership. If you absolutely must have a Ford, go outside of Warner Robins because the owner of this dealership owns all of the Five Stars in Warner Robins. |
