FitnessOne J. Williams Another Match.com Victim Tampa, Florida |
30th of Nov, 2010 by User339616 |
I am SO GLAD I trusted my gut feeling! I too was lured into FitnessOne via Match.com and a guy supposedly name "Steele" who so highly recommended J. Williams. While on the phone with "Steele" I was being quoted prices from J. through "Steele". J. finally got on the phone himself and I was then rushed into coming in to meet him within the hour. Not even "is this a good time for you?" I was rushed in because supposedly J. would not be taking on any new clients until the spring. Before I even walked in the door I felt like something was fishy. As I was walking towards the building a man was walking out. J. was expecting me, even called me to find out if I was still coming as I had gotten stuck in traffic and was running late. I assumed that the only man walking out of a Woman's Gym must be the trainer and I stopped to introduce myself, but he walked right past me and in the direction that I had parked my car. I wonder now if your "Fee" is based on what you drive! As soon as I walked in the door of FitnessONE the hard sell was on.... Many compliments about how beautiful I am, etc etc. There were a few women there working out but it seemed like they were referred to later on as being the "trainers" No tour of the facility, no explanation of the program.... No questions about my health condition, any injuries, or if I was taking any medications ... I volunteered all of that info without him ever asking, and honestly, J. did not even seem all that interested in hearing about it anyway. No obviously posted credentials or qualifications as a Personal Trainer, no background on him, Now that I think of it I don't recall even seeing a business license, but like I said, I was not given a whole lot of time to look around or talk to anyone other then J. I was quickly weighed and measured .... I sew so I KNOW how to use a measuring tape! Let me tell you, the "Before" measurements were generously taken with more then an inch or two added on to most of the measurements taken! I guess this is done so that your "results" look even more impressive. Funny thing was ... I even said outloud to Mr. Williams "so what, does Steele surf Match.com looking for women to bring in and he gets a commission.... mind you, I never actually saw this person named Steele, just exchanged a few emails and one phone call was all it took to get him talking about how I should come down, how great this gym was, and extolling the virtues of J. Williams. Even more questionable is that for a man that was calling me two or three times before 8am, since I went in to see J., I have not received one call ..... If you are the person who wrote the November 4th comment about Scam Artist FitnessOne using Match.com, I would be happy to talk to you and provide you with my details! Ladies on Match.com .... BEWARE .... Life is full of CON ARTISTS!!!! Whatever you do, listen to your gut instinct!!! AND ALWAYS Check out a business BEFORE you write a check!!!! GOOGLE is the best!!!
