Fitness 19 Deceptive Membership Non Cancelation Policy Scam Algonquin, Illinois

Absolutely Horrible.
After 2 years of paying for a membership I never used I tried to cancel my gym membership because I travel a lot for business almost since joining and have never actually even had an opportunity to take advantage of the gym membership. So I tried to cancel and they said no. You can only cancel by coming in and telling us you want to cancel. I said I'm telling you now. They said sorry you have to come in or you can't cancel. They kept on billing me so finally I had to cancel my
credit card. Now they call me and say my credit card was declined. I sayyes I no I hard to cancel it and get a new number because you refused to stop charging me after I canceled my membership. They say no you didn't cancel because you never came in. You have to come in to cancel and now you owe another $36 and the only way you can cancel is to pay. I
said that is crazy. This is nuts. I said I'll never pay and they said then we'll never cancel and the balance will grow every month and then we'll sue you. I said that makes no sense. She said well you could send a letter but not until you pay first your balance first because our other policy is that you can not cancel if your account is not up to date. Oh
My God! This has to be illegal. This is the worst experience I have had with any company of any kind that I have ever done business with in my
entire life.
