First Financial Asset Management get their story straight! Atlanta, Georgia |
30th of May, 2011 by User495725 |
I bought a motorcycle from a dealership in Kansas City, MO. in July 2006. I financed it through HSBC, and never had a problem. I made my payments on time, and in 2008 I payed a large amount on the bike. Since I had payed a large amount, my payments were not due until 2 years later....probably to get as much money out of me as they could. I stopped receiving bills, as I did not owe anything - or so I thought. I moved and had a change of address at our post office in St. Joseph, MO. I had no problems getting my mail at my new address. I did not receive ANYTHING from HSBC for months. I am new to the "credit games", and I am not knowing what to expect. A few months ago, I received a letter and multiple calls from "First Financial Asset Management" and a man name Jack Nizinsky (or however you spell it). He first tells me that I owe this debt to the "bank" and that I need to pay it. Well, I can't just hack up a large amount of money right then. I offered to make payments to "them". He wouldn't accept that, he wanted the money right then and there, so I said I would see what I could do and call them back. At this time, the amount of money owed was around $2700.00 US. I could not come up with that amount, and the next time he called, he was angry that I couldn't. I reminded him politely that I had offered to make payments. He started yelling at me, told me that I would pay it in full, then hung up on me. I called back three different times and asked to speak to a supervisor, and left multiple messages. No one ever calle me back. I have spoken with Jack several times after no one else would call me back and made several different payments. I have told him that I would like some sort of receipt for my payments. I don't want to pay money, and a)not have proof that I paid it and b) not see that my balance is getting better because of it. After bringing up that fact, he tells me to call HSBC and they will give me receipts on my payments. Now, mind you, HSBC tells me that they will not deal with me the first time that I had spoken with them. I called back a second time and a girl tells me that I will receive bills from HSBC reflecting the amount I paid. Ok.....so there are small bits of background info that I am not including because trying to explain the run around that I have been getting can get messy and hard to understand. Basically, I have now printed out a letter of validation that I am going to send by Certified Mail. My balance went up on the last letter I received, and I still have no receipts for anything I have paid. I don't get it, and I want to know why HSBC never sent me anything telling me that I was supposed to start paying again. I am very frustrated, I need advice....someone please help. |
