First Financial Asset Services First Financial Wellness Guaranteed negotiation to lower credit card interest rates for faster payoff but NO services r

Agent Matthew Frank contacted me via phone in March of 2011 due to my "good credit standing" and timely payments." He offered a service through First Financial Assests to negotiate lower interest rates with all credit cards so that I could pay off my principal faster and get out of debt faster. He informed me that it would be a year contract, and the company would continue to re-negotiate my terms every 3 months to ensure I keep the lower interest rate possible. I was told I would be assigned a "financial adviser" that would discuss my negotiations with me, and that within 2 billing cycles, I would already be saving money. I was guaranteed at least a $3000 savings in interest. He also offered the web address www.firstfinancialwellness.com. I did not receive my paperwork until 2 weeks later, and I filled the information out and mailed it in. I also went online and completed the necessary info. I never heard back from my "financial consultant," so I started calling. I was never able to speak with my consultant despite multiple attempts. Could never get anyone to call me back. I was informed that the consultant had 2 billing cycles to make negotiations. (But they are actually hoping the time frame on disputing the charge to your credit card has expired,so you can't get your money back from them.) Near the middle of May, I received a "customized budget plan" from them that showed my lenders and minimal monthly payments. There was no sign of a lower interest rate, and it was the same payments I was already making. After mutiple attempts to contact my "consultant" (which is another dept--Consumer Credit Group), I finally received a call back in June. I immediately asked what my lower interest rate was to start making payments, and I was informed that they could NEVER guarantee me a lower interest rate. I was told by senior consultant, Randy Richards, that they contacted my credit card companies, and they refused to lower my interest rates during negotiations. After 45 mins of explaining what I was promised, he informed me that he was in another dept, and I would need to contact Kirsten Naggie in another dept on the next biz day. I immediately called my credit card company who gladly lowered my interest rate significantly within 5 mins of my call. And they informed me they had not been contacted by First Financial or Consumer Credit Group to lower my rates. I spoke with Kirsten the next day and informed her of the lies and lack of service for the $1000 I paid them. I requested an immediate refund which she denied and told me she had to listen to the recordings of my conversation with the agent. She told me that they NEVER promise to lower interest rates. I called my credit card company again, and they stated they would never to speak to anyone about my account unless I personally was on the phone line, and they stated there is no note where anyone called to negotiate for me. First Financial was not even able to provide a last name for whom they supposedly discussed my account with--SCARY!! I asked to speak with my consultant, and I was told that she didn't have an extension. Then I was told she was transferred to another dept. After being transferred to multiple people, I finally got to speak with "Linda Driver" who supposedly negotiated for me. She was unable to tell me how she saved me any money at all, and there was someone in the background telling her what to say to me. This is a complete scam, and they have multiple complaints at the BBB site. They are preying on people with good credit standing who are trying to pay off their debts.

I have the same complaint. In Feb. 2011 I was promised my interest rate would be droped by at least 8% and within two billing cycles I would save at least $2500 on my card. If this did not occur I would get a refund. After several calls I was told I would have to wait 6 months to have any negotations repeated. I kept asking to speak to a supervisor with no results. They did send me a book with a payment plan which I was making anyway. I did not need them to tell me the same thing that my credit card statements were telling me that if I made a certain amount of payments monthly this is how much I would save in three years in interest. This was a scam. I have asked for a credit from my credit card company. They want documentation. I will send them the rating from the BBB as other complaints made on the internet sites. I talked to the gentlman for over one hour about signing up and said no and he called me back and had me speak to his boss for another hour. Some gurantee. When I asked for a refund of course they said no. The company that hired them to get clients for them called me four weeks ago and told me they were not authorized to charge anything upfront. They should only charge after they fullfilled their gurantees. Interesting. she said she would call my credit card for a refund, put me on hold and I got disconnect. Scam, Scam Scam.
