Finger Companies/Peachtree Dunwoody Place Apartments Misrepresentation of Property Internet |

Peachtree Dunwoody Place Apartments completely misrepresents their property. During the managers sales presentation she claimed they are a new luxury apartment complex and the walls are poured with solid concrete so you do not hear your neighbors. You are told the management takes strict care in maintaining the property. They also state this is the reason why our complex is more expensive then others. Once you rent you realize different. You can completely hear your neighbor. Take a walk down the hallway you can hear tenants TV's, them speaking to each other, hear them on the phone, their dog barking...you name it you can hear it. You will lose sleep from your neighbors noise at night if they have a different schedule than yours. The garbage rooms aren't cleaned. There is no pet waste disposal bags and tenants do not clean up after their pets. They claim they are pet friendly but I was told by a former employee that the company won't put bags out because they don't want to encourage tenants to walk their dogs on the grounds. Some tenants smoke out front and in the parking garage dropping cigarette butts every where. They have pool music on all day which penetrates your apartment even on the 8th floor. On a number of occasions there has been broken glass on the grounds not picked up for weeks. The security doors don't stay locked. People move in and they turn off the elevators for movers causing you to have to walk up the stairs to your apartment. This happens 2 to 3 times per week. They allow people to park overnite in front of loading and unloading area. There is constant construction problems causing noise all day examples include roofing repairs, tenants complaining of the upstairs toilet flushing, a/c breakdowns, leaks, etc. Some of these repairs start at 5:30am. I have spoke with other tenants to see if they were told the same thing. They stated they were and were just as angry. I even took several photos to back up claims. I spoke with management on several occasions via email and personally. At first they get back with me stating they will correct it immediately. Well 4 months later still dealing with the issues. Since I am a working professional in my 40's my time is highly limited to deal with this which is why their sales presentation caused me to sign the lease. I have managed to ignore all the issues except the noise. The loss of sleep has reached the wall. I contacted the Manager's Manager asking to break the lease for misrepresentation of the company regarding the noise. They do not get back with you. I called corporate and mentioned I had a noise problem to the operator. Immediately, she was so scared to talk to me and pushed me through to management. It was strange. This tells me the company must get a ton of calls regarding this noise issue. They have several properties which makes me wonder if they do the same thing to the other tenants? When you ask corporate for an email to send your complaint they don't give it to you. They are very guarded with helping you. This raises another flag. I found out Mr. Finger from Finger Companies never responded to his employee (manager) who complained a tenant was going to kill her, unfortunately the tenant did and he is in a lawsuit from the family. So if he didn't respond to her on such a serious issue what makes me think him or any of his employees will respond to me. A company is only as good as their leader. I hope this helps others make an informed decision when looking to rent from Peachtree Dunwoody Place.
