I thought of going to Farrell hair replacement because they guarantee that you will be able to save money, do-it-yourself in 5 minutes, and you do not need service every month. Well, that the biggest mistake I ever made. At the consultation, you get buttered up and made to believe that their system will make your life so much easier and cheaper another replacement system. That is basically 2 great reasons to hook anyone in. Farrell is a great salesman and makes you feel confident that this thing might be great for you. I was told, by him, that I will be able to just wash and go. Also many of their clients take it off and put it on in 5 minutes. I was also lead to believe that I could take the system off every two weeks, which I wanted and alterations would be every year. He forgot to mention that for a person that is not permanently bald it would have to come off every 3 days and it would take me up to 4 hours to do the process of washing it, and putting it back on. Also it is not do-it-yourself since I needed help from someone to stick the back of the system on my head. Who has that much time to spend on hair?! I think the people who use this type of system are millionaires who have money to burn, sit up in a mansion and have 4 hours to spend on hair. This is not for busy working women. Another thing, as soon as my hair grew out it pushed the system tape loose and it basically came off very easy. Now imagine that happens to you at work. Huh! I also asked if they used real human hair. Farrell laughed and told me, no we use monkey hairof course we use human hair. I do not believe this. It felt like I heard nylon snapping when I would try to take out knots from my hair after washing it. Yes it became knotted while I was washing it. This is because when I wanted loose curls, I got tight curls. They also told me that their hair line is not noticeable. Yeah right! You will see a dry looking hairline with the loose lace strands sticking out every 3 days. Lace looses when your cut it because it is made criss-cross and once the first strands of lace starts to get loose the front starts to loosen (common sense right?) Therefore, you will have to send it back for repairs. My lace got loose within a month. So you will spend money on alterations to fix the lace often. I really tried to make this system work for me. No one in their right mind would spent 6,000+ for hair if they did not really need it. They made me buy 2 systems saying that if one needs repairs you have the other to use. Okay I did not complain. But this money is non-refundable. So these smart business people get their money up front and then its basically your problem to deal with. After I was not happy with my hair being so curly I spoke to Laura Farrell who basically blamed me for not taking care of the system the right way. She sent be back to the stylist who did not even give me a nice cut, he just wanted to use a flat iron on the hair. I went in 2 times to see him with no help. After calling Laura for the 3rd time she assured me that they want to make their clients happy, not to worry, it will be taken care of. Okay, she told me to send my system for alterations ($ I spend to ship to Cali.) She promised to take care of it in 1 week of no charge since I had the system less than a month. After 2 weeks of no reply, I called in to speak to her. She never came on the phone. The guy who answered the phone knew nothing about what is going on. Andrea told me she was going to send it out in two days and I would get in 3 days and there would be a charge plus shipping. So no one knows what is going on in their office and they claim to be so busy. After 4 days, nothing. I called in once again to speak with Laura. She seemed to be in hiding since she never came on the phone to speak to me after that. The phone guy said Laura and Richard were in my home town with my system. First of all, no one had told me. I did not have an appointment with them. How was I suppose to know what is going on. This was so unprofessional of them. I believe they wanted to save a couple dollars and send it locally than from California. It was convenient for them. And I do not understand why these people were so greedy to get their money. They suppose to be the professionals and help a client choose what is best for him/her. If I wanted curly/long and they say, oh actually straight/short would be easier for you to handle, I would have taken their advise. So lets see, 1. they take the initial grand amount of money up front via credit card, 2. then you will need alterations often and 3. both side shipping will be on you. You do the math. My advice, if anyone wants it, is to save your time and money and find another hair replacement agency. Also, go to a consultation and see for yourself and see how they try to sell their product. |
