FarrahTel International
FarrahTel International Omniat Sell pre-paid long-distance minutes in thousands of dollars, then say they expired after stealing the money from credit
2nd of Dec, 2010 by User888354
I am a customer who resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I was phoned by a salesman (who informed me that he was calling from a call-centre in Cairo, Egypt, but is selling pre-paid international long-distance calling minutes from the US and Canada to residants of those 2 countries, of arabic origins, in bulk, at very low rates, by credit card, on behalf of a company called Farrah Tel International, in Orlando, FL, USA) Was only US$ 400 !! He tempted me to buy FarrahTel's Platinum (VIP) Package by giving me very low rates to the few countries I told him I usually call from Toronto, where I reside. I, therefore, gave him my credit card info. and the transaction was made successfully for the amount of US$ 2000 (the price of that so-called Platinum/VIP package). Soon later (after a few days) I tried using their service (calling the access phone numbers they gave me after they charged my credit card), only to find-out: 1. The balance given by their automated answering system was only US$ 400 !! And 2. The service didn't even work! I, naturally, and frantically, called their customer service number, who told me that theu will create 5 accounts for me, each for US$ 400, instead. Of one account for $2000, because their system cannot handle an account exceeding $400 in amount! (a clever game they play to rob their customers). Later-on they did create those 5 accounts, but still, The service rarely worked, and I kept calling their so-called "Customer Service", and they kept promissing to make it work (their so-called VIP Package!) and when I got mad with them (naturally) they simply jus stopped answering my calls !!! I then tried to dispute the afore-mentioned credit card transaction with my bank here in Toronto and I reported them to the Fraud Police here in Toronto, Canada, to no avail (as they were in the US, and the disputed amount was less than $5000, i.e. Not Worth an accross the-the-border investigation!) When my lawyer contacted them and asked them to refund back my money, I received a call from a lebanese lady in Orlando, FL (who said her name was Zohoor Alame, and claimed to be the owner of the said company, which she said did operate it's sales offices from Cairo, Egypt, and even gave me her supposedly cell phone number in Cairo) She assured me that she will make sure the service will 'immediately' start working as it should have from the beginning! Of course I was very upset with her, and, of course, the service didn't imprrove, BUT, what is coming is the REAL SCAM (The Game They Play!) The next time I checked the balance remaining in my account(s?!) it was less than $ 1000 !!! When I tried to contact the so-called 'President and Owner' of that company, she wouldn't answer any of her phone numbers in Orlando or in Cairo (unexpected?!)
