Fairway Independent Mortgage Mona and her cronies, and their blatent attempts to screw us over! Leesville, Louisiana |

All I can say is WOW... After shopping around and looking into various mortgage agencies, we decided to go with Fairway. What a HUGE mistake that was. After giving them our trust and our money, this company turned around and TRIED to screw us over. 1st attempt to screw us over: The NIGHT BEFORE our meeting with Mona (a total piece of crap, offered up by Fairway) to sign our mortgage agreement with our Realtor and a lawyer. Fairway (Mona) sent us an email telling us we'd need to pay up $3,000 at the meeting. Gee, thanks for telling us about this the NIGHT BEFORE it was due. Luckily, our Realtor and lawyer helped us out by rolling that $3,000 into our mortgage payments. This visibly ticked Mona off, since her feeble attempt to screw us over didn't work. HA! Anyways, things are going great, we love our new house and not having to deal with Mona and her vindictive, unprofessional self, when out of no where, ANOTHER attempt to screw us over rears its ugly head. We were told-by MONA at Fairway- that our 1st mortgage payment would be October 1st to Wells Fargo-the company Fairway sold our mortgage to. So, we've planned our bills around making sure we'll be on track for making our monthly payments-starting in OCTOBER. When out of NO WHERE we get a call in Mid-September from Fairway asking us why we didn't make our 1st payment to them, which was suppose to have been sent in by September 1st. According to Mona's minion on the phone, we were suppose to have received a coupon book, which would've explained that the 1st payment on our mortgage was due Sept. 1st, and was suppose to go to Fairway. And oh yeah, by the way, we'd probably have to pay a late fee for missing it. We NEVER received this information from Mona, nor did we get a coupon book, or a "hey thanks for doing business with us" Heck, I'm not trying to be superficial or anything, but EVERYONE else we did business with from our Realtor, to our Lawyer to even the CLEANING LADIES who cleaned up our new home before we moved in, gave us little thank you gifts that ranged from candles to coffee mugs, but Fairway didn't give us squat-not even a lousy coupon book to make our payments. I think Mona in her delusional, vindictive little world, was hoping we'd be unable to cover a September payment, so late in the month, especially with another payment coming up so quickly. Unfortunately for her, this also backfired. A quick call to their corporate office in Wisconsin, and we were able to get the late fee waived. What a hassle though! I'm just hoping this is the LAST TIME I ever have to deal with Fairway EVER again, and I'll be sure to spread the word on what our experience was like. We trusted them with the biggest investment we've ever made and they turned around and tried to nail us-TWICE. |
