WOW, where do I begin with these people? Let's start with the lies.
They have this independent contractor agreement that promises you laptops and uniforms. They make you sign it. You get none of it. At first glance, it looks good. A sales job walking around with an expensive laptop in company provided uniforms? I thought, why not? Yeah, none of that is true. Must no be illegal to promise employees things you never plan on giving them.
The best part is the 1099 part of it. Anyone who's been in sales knows you can't require certain demands of a 1099 position. These people treat you like W4 employees but illegally don't want to provide the benefits that go along with it. Restrictive hours, "have to be here at a certain time", no health coverage...ever. I wish someone with the IRS would read these reports. These people are absolute frauds and what they do is illegal.
Then you've got your pay. I know a lot of sales people in the industry. One week it was a 2 week pay with these guys. Then it was a 1 week pay. Then it was no training pay at all. Just another Pyramid scheme set up for a few months. They change their compensation so often, you know these fools are losing money hand over foot. Bottom line...if you work with these guys, don't expect to be paid what you're owed.
They provide no gas cards or any benefit at all, but want 1099s showing up in the mornings and after shifts, after wandering around in the cold knocking on people's doors. They'll tell you it's lead sales, but it's like they pull names out of the phone book. Those aren't leads. People were shocked when I showed up. These people are jokes to the industry. When you need to lie to people to get them into your company, that says it all.
They pump advancing to management quickly. Never have seen or heard of anyone getting promoted there. They just want you to wander around and knock doors, so they'll just lie to get you in the door.
Every other door 2 door direct sales company I've worked with knows about these guys and they laugh when I mention them. This place has only been open for 6 months as a company and already the competition just scoffs and knows they won't make it. There is NOTHING permanent about this company. It's a pyramid scheme that will close up a month after you take the job. Later on, I found out that this is just a different failed company with a new name WOW. You know what they say about putting cute clothes on a pig....
Do not, under any circumstance work for these people. Do yourself a favor. I don't know the owner, but if he knew the type of illegal activity, false promises, and executive incompetance going on with his company I can't imagine what he'd think. I'm putting this out as a warning so you don't take a job with these people and their lies end up hurting you. If the IRS wants an easy case, I suggest they look up Face 2 Face before they're defunct and have a new Pyramid Scheme name. |
