I went to Fabulous Formal looking for a bridal gown. The consultant that I had was beyond amazing and so helpful. She gave me a deal on my dress and extended a deal to each of my bridesmaids. It was great until it was time to order.
The day I was told to call to finalize my order, the consultant called me to tell me Christine, the owner, decided to close her shop but they could still order my dresses. I told her I needed to think about it and would call the next day. I called the next day and spoke with Christina. I asked for a refund for the 3 dresses that been paid. She raised her voice and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say. She ended the call with "my rules are my rules regardless that I am closing" and hung up on me.
I called back later that afternoon and spoke to the consultant that listened to everything I had to say and reassured me that they weren't closing until the end of the year which would be plenty of time to get the dresses. She also stated that Christine offered to 5 week rush the dresses, little did I know she discussed this and our call with a bridesmaid! I agreed.
December 3rd, the expected delivery date, came quick and so did the phone call that morning. It was the consultant calling to tell me there was a delay in the shipping but she didn't know why.
She called again on the 7th to tell me that the manufacturer didn't mail them because they couldn't confirm which store to send it to because Christine informed then she was closing her store but opening a new one.
December 10th Christine called again and said they still weren't shipped and this time said that the dresses couldn't be shipped because the manufacturer was waiting on some shipment and couldn't ship my dresses until that other shipment was received.
A bridesmaid called the shop on the 14th and was told that the manufacturer had the 7 dresses as hostages because Christine was asked to send back samples but hadn't done so. Christine told me that the dresses would be shipped by the 20th from the manufacturer and she herself called them to request 2 day ship. I demanded that I get the tracking for the shipment ASAP.
I received a call on the 21st from the consultant stating they were shipped but they didn't have the tracking. She said that Christine would call me the next day with the tracking number.
Christine called the next day, 22nd, and read me the tracking number. She stated the dresses would be in on the 28th and that the manufacturer refused to send the dresses 2 day rush because of Christmas. Since the store was closed for good on the 24th, I requested that she have the boxes for the 3 dresses that were to be shipped out of state ready that following Wednesday so that I could inspect the dresses and get the tracking from her while I was there. She started yelling, interrupting me, admitting she wasn't listening, and hung up on me.
I called the manufacturer myself and they confirmed that Christine never contacted them to request 2 day ship.
December 28th came and so did a call from Christine. This time she stated that the she refused the COD charges on the shipment because she felt it was $500 more than she planned. She stated that she called the manufacturer and was waiting for a call to resolve. She promised to call me that night.
She refused the package on Wednesday so I called the manufacturer. They stated that they had been calling her cell phone and business lines and weren't able to make contact. They also stated that Christine never contacted them about the COD charges.
Thursday Christine called UPS and asked them to hold the package for 5 business days. I called every day and left a message asking her to contact me. She picked up the dresses right before UPS was about to send the dresses back on the 5th business day of holding. I continued to call the store asking for my dresses but never heard from her.
Christine is an unprofessional, disrespectful, untrustworthy lady. She is now in the process of opening a new business down the street from her old. Do not do business with her!
