Delivered and partially installed the wrong floor tile, then claim it just a different dye lot to which they are protected in their contract. In my circumstance, the tile even has a different name. When I said I'd file a complaint, they stopped work leaving my house a mess. I was also told the sample I looked at could have been manufactured over a year ago so that's why its a "different color". I caught them putting duct tape over a crack, then they wanted more money for the proper membrane. I had no flooring in my home and pointed out the cracks to the salesman. There were no differing site conditions, it was a bare concrete slab. They quoted and were paid for additional sq. footage which was not needed, nor delivered. I've been disconnected when I've called, told people weren't, been given the run-around, been told it's my fault, been spoken to so unbelievably rudely, and threatened with their attorneys. Any resolution to the problem requires me to give them more money or select another tile I already looked at and didn't like. Stupidly, because I let myself be rushed by the salesman, I had to pay them in full before work was even started. Watch out for their contract and the tactics their salesmen use to distract you from the fine print. They also don't break out the cost of the tile or installation, so no matter what I do, they can say it costs more money. I'm disabled and saved for 10 years for this floor, and now it's a complete nightmare. Everything's delayed in my remodel for my 87 yr. old mother who is probably coming in fall to stay with me. (The salesman knew this.) Absolutely shameful behavior. Run away from this company as fast as you can. I do not expect them to be in business long, so their lifetime installation warranty (which is just a stupid certificate with no details) will be useless. I find it hard to believe that company could behave in this manner. I have 4 pages of documentation, so far, of this nightmare. Word of advice dealing with any company now-a-days, Document, Document, Document and file a complaint with your local Registrar of Contractors, they license these companies. |
