ON JAN 09 2012 I EECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE ON MY MOBILE PHONE INFORMAING THAT MY MY CELL PHONE HAS WON A EUROMILLION PROMO PRIZE IN DRAW CONDUCTED IN UK BY PUTTING THE CELL NUMBERS RANDOMLY. THE SENDER MENTIONED EMAIL ADDRESS "[email protected]" INFORMING ME TO CONTACT THROUGH EMAIL FOR PROCESSING OF WINNING PRIZE. I REPLIED TO THAT I KNOW THAT THERE IS NO SUCH A SCHEME WHICH COULD BENEFIT A PERSON WITHOUT PURCHASING A LOTTERY TICKET. THE ORIGINATOR REPLIED WITH GREAT CONFIDENCE THAT THIS IS A GOVERNMENT APPROVED PROMO AWARD. I AM COPYING & PASTING THE CONTENTS OF REPLY.

I am in receipt of your email. I am not going to pay you a single penny because I feel that if a company can spend Millions of Dollars for their promotion of business they should not feel burden to off-set the expenses towards delivery of prize to a winner. Even otherwise I have searched your phone number mentioned in you email and the results seen are not encouraging. Please dont expect any payment from me and you are advised to return the parcel to the sender in case it is true.

Your Mobile # has won 1, 500, 000.00 pounds in Euro Millions Mobile Award. For claims send your name; no. to [email protected] and their phone no is +447956328726, when I called this no. it was dead.
I therefore urge all mobile network providers in collaboration with United Kingdom Government to track down the perpetrators of this evil who are trying to use government name to dupe people.

And I reside in Singapore with a Singapore mobile number.

Hi People,
It seems me too recieved a SMS from +34 634 188 822 on my Singapore Number regards to the award. SMS states :
"Your Mobile Number has Won £ 1, 500, 000.00 in the Euro Millions Mobile Award. To Claim Funds, Kindly Email us: FNK424756, Your Name & Number to: [email protected]"
Please note there so many Scams in the world. Do not fall into the traps of easy money.

The number I got this message from was +34634188758
I thought it was a scam, and I wasn't wrong.
As I said above, I'm Australian, so it seems that this scam is most certainly global. What's interesting is that I never hand my mobile out to anyone even remotely suspicious - I've only ever given it to Centerlink (a government organization that provides financial assistance to Australians), my work place, my University, my bank, and my closest friends. I think I had my number on Facebook at one point, but only friends could view it. But Facebook apps ignore your privacy settings, so who knows.
I just hope no poor souls fall for this scam.

I am a Singaporean and I just received an email saying that my mobile number has won Pds 1, 500, 000, 00 in the Euro Millions Mobile Award. To claim the funds I was told to email my particulars to FNK424756 at [email protected]. I immediately knew this was a scam as it is too good to be true. As to how they managed to get my Singapore mobile number is baffling. I am glad I was not stupid enough to be cheated.

I also received a message from them, phone number +44 75 68 34 27 70, i have won £420'000 in the euro millions mobile promo, and they urge me to mail and call "asap". (Mail [email protected], phone +44 74 25 23 97 94) Thanks for making this information available. Now i dont have to waste any more time finding out what this is:)
