I'm sure he is using a fake name, this Eric LeGrande. He emails you if you bid on a car on eBay and asks if you would like to buy his car really cheap because he's having financial problems. Here's a copy of what he sent someone that bid on my Ferrari: (I own the Ferrari he is trying to sell someone that bid on my car who shared the scammer's email with me). Hi there, I apologize for this delayed email but i was busy.You recently placed a bid on my 1999 Ferrari 355 listed on ebay.
Just
wanting you to know that if you're still interested in purchasing it, I
have lowered the price and I am willing to let it go for US$ 39,000.
I
am aware that the amount I'm asking is under the market value but we
are in a quite strange situation and have to sell it fast due to some
recent financial issues.
Shipping/delivery is included in that price
as I almost closed the deal with one of the bidders but he was unable to
come up with the entire amount and I've already prepared shipping for
him as he was out of state.
The transaction will be conducted through and with eBay supervision. Let me know if you have the money available and you're still interested and i will get back to you with details. Best regards,
Eric He then sets up an eBay invoice that is fake, but looks authentic. I'm sure he'll jsut change his name after someone alerts that I wrote this. So, just don't buy a car from this duesch.
