We are not writing this to be malicious, but to simply state the facts and protect others. We met with Ephren Taylor after a seminar at our church in Houston, TX. He was convincing and sincere. He promised to protect and increase my father's lifetime savings of $1.5Mil, while helping to improve communities around the country.
After investing our money, we didn't get information about our investments as we were promised. We were told that our Promissory Notes made us part owners in several companies, City Petroleum, City Beauty, City Juice, City Laundry, St. Clair Apartment Complex as well as our own Starbuck kiosk.
Information has never been forthcoming. Communication, if not initiated on our part, was non-existant. Over the course of two years, we were patient and understanding. We did everything in our power to faciliate exchange of information, to no avail.
We were promised through the notes to receive interest payments in the form of monthly distributions; which over the course of two years, it has been a constant struggle to receive--to the point of becoming a burden to us.
In September when our distribution was due, as usual, we had to call City Capital to initiate the process, only to discover there were no more funds. Through our own due diligence, we have discovered that each of our so-called investments are either worth about 10% of the value we paid or have already been sold to fulfill obligations to other investors, or for Ephren's/Wendy's own personal gain.
My dad worked 34 years (his lifetime) to build a financial portfolio that would support his family's posterity; all of which was explained to Ephren at our first meeting.
My husband and I have now been left to sustain our household comprised of my Mom, who is 76, on a feeding-tube requiring 24/7 care; as well as my mother-in-law, also 76 with no income. We are now expected to care for us and our mom's on no income and an inheritance which we cannot access and may be depleted entirely!
When our monthly distributions stopped in September, so did contact with our account manager and everyone at City Capital. After repeated pleas for help to pay our bills, we have not received any help.
Now we understand the following to be true:
1. Ephren is no longer CEO or Chairman of City Capital
2. City Capital no longer has a website
3. No one answers the phone for City Capital numbers in Raleigh, NC or Franklin, TN
4. Many others have the exact same story as ours
Therefore, disregard the praises you hear of Ephren Taylor or City Capital, or Clean Sweeps, on the internet, on TV, or on the radio, or EVEN AT YOUR LOCAL CHURCH!
If you have a story like ours, take action! File a complaint with the SEC, Contact your Secretary of State, Contact the FBI and contact the public venues he has used to promote himself and TELL THEM YOUR STORY!
Most of all protect yourself and your family's future so this doesn't happen to you. |
