Lance Lorback from Eclipse Merchant Service (Formerly merchant service club)I guess they change names every time their reputation catches up to them, opened an account for us a while back. I distinctly remember our conversation as it is stated in my records that there will not be any cancelation fee when we decide to close the account since we received no equipment from them. We closed the gallery last week and no longer have a need for the account so I called yesterday to close it and they insisted on collecting $250 cancelation fee. Apparently the agency is ethically challenged and involved in a questionable practice. As I spoke to different representatives my suspicion were confirmed. They continuously lied for example when they thought I was opening a new account, Lance was out to lunch but anyone was happy to help me. All of a sudden Lance is no longer working there. I made the mistake of accepting a verbal promise and a couple crossed areas on the contract. Since the salescrook insisted there will be no cancelation fee and he crossed the # months lease to assure me. Ive been in similar situations before and reputable companies tend to honor what their employees promised whether its in writing or not but the keyword here is reputable which Eclipse Merchant Services is far from. Anyway, Im in the websites and blogging business so I will share this with my 40,000 plus friends and if I stop 1 business from signing up with Eclipse Merchant Service it will be worth it. After all this is the reason I started this site, posting few 1000s ads about my experience will only take few clicks so I suggest they start looking for a new name since this one wont be good for much longer.

I called to cancel in early April after last recent transactions cleared. I was told they were going to close my acct. Shame on me, I didn't demand proof. Since, they've continued debiting my acct the non-compliance fee, reg monthly fees and the last charge was $141- no idea why.
I called again 6/4 and was told the acct wasn't closed. The cust svc person submitted a refund request & emailed me a form & I faxed back same day. Called again today- 6/11 and acct still not closed. Cust svc rep indicated it was submitted 6/7 and could take 30 days, AND that "management" had only approved a $20 refund. Wow! Perfect- they'll try and debit my bank acct again in early July, only it won't be possible, because I'm going to close it Monday.
I felt sorry for the lady I spoke with today. I can't imagine they last long- who could? It's clearly a SHADY company. I'm going to share my opinion everywhere. |
