Eagles Choice, LLC Fun Time Vacations Free Cruise Scam Woodbridge, Virginia
10th of Aug, 2011 by User145643
On June 23, 2011, I received a phone call telling me that I had won a free cruise in a sweepstakes. I was told it was for an ocean view room on a 7-night cruise for two and that even the airfare to get to the port was free. She also said we could take the cruise at any time within the next 18 months to any location that Royal Carribean or Carnival sailed to, subject to availability of cabins. The caller said the only thing we would have to pay for was the taxes. She said all we needed to do was attend a short "reception" at the Marriott Hotel in Woodbridge, VA, on June 24. I often enter sweepstakes, so nothing seemed wrong at this point. We went to the "reception" and learned it was a presentation where they were selling vacations. We did not buy, but did receive a voucher for a free cruise and air travel from EAGLES CHOICE in Woodbridge, VA. We were told by Premier Marketing Concepts, LLC, (who made the presentation at the Marriott) to follow the instructions given in the voucher precisely. We were told in the instructions to send in an "activation fee" of $98 for the "free" cruise, and $70 for the "free" airline tickets. We sent Eagles Choice checks for $98 and $70, as instructed, and a few weeks later we received an envelope with voucher certificates requiring more money for "activation fees"--this time from Fun Times Vacation Travel Center (supposedly the people that would assist us in booking the cruise). Now they wanted $55 more per person for the cruise. I gave them a check for $110, mostly because I had already invested $168 and didn't want to lose it. I was told that I would receive a package in two weeks with everything I needed to book the cruise online and all I would need to pay further was a $100 for the taxes for the cruise. That sounded reasonable, since the original caller said we would be required to pay the taxes. Two weeks later on August 9, I received a package telling me that the free cruise was for an inside cabin during off season, that the free airfare I had already paid $70 for could not be used in conjunction with the cruise, and that I had to submit 3 choices of dates for travel each of which had to be 30 days apart. I was to submit all of this via certified mail to Infinity Incentive Group in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, with a check for $598. So, so far we have paid $278 for this "free cruise" that was supposed to be for an ocean view cabin on a 7-night cruise that we were supposed to take at our convenience subject to availability of cabins. Now that money is lost if we don't give them an additional $598. Total so far for the "free cruise" that I won in a sweepstakes is $876. There is no indication that this would be the end of the requests for money. Realizing at this point that this was nothing but a scam, I tried to get info on receiving a refund on my money. Eagles Choice has no published phone #, neither does Infinity Incentive Group. I did reach someone at Fun Times and was told that I could request a refund by emailing FunTimeDonna @aol.com with my name phone number, email address and reason why I deserve a refund. I did. If I don't get any of my money back by the end of September, I intend to pass this information on to my entire email address book and ask them to continue passing it on to everyone in their address books until these scammers are run out of business. I want people to be aware and not send them anything. THEY ARE DEFINITELY SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR MONEY!!!

I had the identical situation. The main difference is that I only sent in $98 to Eagles Choice and became very suspisious when I got an e-mail from Funtime Vacations requesting another $55 pp for a 1 year"package" and $74.50 pp for a 2 year one. I called Crystal Cosby who was supposed to be my booking agent at Funtime to inquire about these additional fees. She said that this a fee is for a VIP package but if I don't want "fast" service I don't have to pay it?! Instead, she emailed me another form asking for $39 "booking fee". She also said that it might take up to 4 month to book a cruise that would cost about $500 pp after you pay all these fees. Some "free" cruise! Besides, the dates are very restrictive and you probobly would also have to pay for the upgrade since I doubt anyone would like a cabin below the waterline LOL. I would like to team up with other people who had been scamed out of their money and try to get these bunch of liars.

Same thing happed to me to and I dealt with pretty much the same people you've dealt with. I'm waiting for my refund, too. I doubt I will get it, but I want people to know not to fall for their SCAM.

My first call was with DIVINE GETAWAYS, then I dealt with EAGLES CHOICE, then it was FUN TIME VACATIONS, then they answer the phone TRAVEL CENTER, if they answer at all. Now, I believe that they have PACKAGED VACATIONS LLC involved. check out their website and they too don't have any address just an 800 number and no email address . . . the site looks phony.

I contacted the BBB and so Eagles Choice called me to see what was going on, but not sure if BBB can do anything about it. Let's just pass this info around so people can be aware and please file a complaint with the BBB because the vacation SCAMMERS have been doing this for a long time and doing it all over America and they need to be caught!!!

I had the same thing happen and when they asked for more money after the activation fee, I knew something was up. I'm sending the materials back with a letter for my refund per instructions recieved from MGMT at Eagle's Choice but I will absolutely file a complaint with the BBB and leave it outstanding until my money is refunded.

Wow does anyone actually get the trip with these guys ?

So matter what you send them at first these idiots always ask for more money?

Any positive stories from this company?

I just talked to a guy that said after we send in the activation fee in 15 days they will send me dates which I could then go on line and book my vacation right through the cruise line. # is 1-888-873-8854 and the person above was right on and said travel center.

Muledog17 - that's the same number I called also. If you sent in your money, call the BBB right away to file a complaint. I called several times to talk to someone, and emailed also. After calling the BBB, they finally agreed to give me a refund. I just received it, and it's at bank. Not sure if it will clear, but i'll let you know. I was persistent . . . don't give up. It's all a scam, and they change business names regularly - it seems. Plus, they just go by their first names, and lying about their last names. It's very confusing.

An update: I just got my refund of the activation fee( $98). This is what you do to get it: Call 888-873-8854 and enter the ext. 101, 102, 107 or 109. You will be able to speak to Eagles Choice people( if you're lucky). The person to talk to is Charles Matthews @ ext. 102. It seems like he is the one who can authorize a refund. Make sure to send back all travel documents that you've recieved from them via Certified Mail ( this way they can't say they never got it). Include a copy of the canceled check (both sides) and a letter explaining why you want a refund.Call back to follow up.Be persistent ! If that fails file the complain with BBB which I didn't have to do since I got my money back. Good luck ! If anybody gets their refund please post a comment so I will know that it worked!

THANK YOU!!! I paid our activation of $98. I then sent 2 more forms back to "Grand Incentives. We were suppose to get the official reservation pkg but, we didn't. It is another form and a charge of $149 service fee per person. Add the $249 each port taxes we were told and we are up to $864 for our free cruise. These cruises are available at regular fare through MANY agencies for only $500 pp. And you don't have to stay in bunk beds in the bilges!

It is a Presidential Race this year - Maybe this should be on the agenda. The money we all have thrown away in these Scams - Could almost get us out of Debt!
This is just a sounding board I realize, since nothing can be done to regain all the lost monies we have all had - You would love to check these sights out First before paying the Huge Membership Fee. -But you Have to Buy Today or Miss out on the "Deal of a Life Time"
Package Vacations New name and web sight - these guys are good - We work hard for our money and who doesn't want to find the Best deal for travel... and like everyone else on this sight, have paid multiple registrations and find your self already into it so deep that you "Hope" this is the last one ... HAS anybody actual gotten any travel from these guys?
I believe their Staff is large enough that they have several just figuring new name and web sight every few months, to throw all of us off, so they never can be tracked down., and the money stuffs their pockets -
