| Last March of 2011, Dusty told me that he sent my first paycheck in the mail. I never got that check, as it got lost in the mail. Dusty said he stopped payment on that check (as it was a large check to take the chance of someone else cashing). Dusty said he quickly sent me out another check. Well, that check never came either. Dusty said he by mistake mislabeled my address and got that check returned to him. Dusty said he would have his wife Debora Jaquins pay me via her paypal account, and I would have the money first thing that next morning (Dusty wanted me to work on a few projects that he needed for his meeting with China), I was a bit leery- but Dusty assured me (verbally and in writing) that no matter what, that the money would be transferred to my paypal account. That next morning- there was no money. I called Dusty for several days to let him know that there was no successful transfer. Debora (Dustys wife) was kind enough to email me and let me know that Dustys mom was ill and in the hospital, and Dusty was spending time with her. I was told that there was an issue their paypal account and they were in the process of getting a business paypal account. Debora too, gave me her word via email for me not to worry, that I was going to get paid. Dusty called me for some more projects that he needed. He emailed me that he has sent me out another check, and will pay me the rest of my checks though the new paypal account- which should be up and running very soon. I did all the work that was requested. I still have not been paid. I never got my first check or my second paycheck. To date- I have yet to be paid anything despite all the promises. No new funds were added to my paypal account. By this time it is now May. Dusty claims said he mailed off a package (with my paychecks including some t-shirts and magnets that featured my designs). I never got this package. Dusty has since never responded to my emails, nor voice messages- yet he continues to use and produce my artwork. I have sent him a cease and desist letter, telling him that he has not right to use my artwork to no avail. Dusty plain and simple does not care. He truly feels that he is unstoppable and can do whatever he wants. I am not the first person Dusty has screwed. Dusty has scammed many people- whether it out of money, time or unpaid wages- Dusty feels that he is above the law. The sad part is, That Dusty Jaquins usually lease other people holding the bag, as he disappears. If you find yourself crossing paths with this unscrupulous individual, it would be my suggestion to not even let him speak- and move on. Dusty Jaquins is very tricky; he knows how to take advantage of people. You might think you are safe when you have a written contract, or have been promise something in writing- but like I said, Dusty Jaquins feels that he is above the law, and business rules do not apply to him. Now, all that I am left with the emails and broken promises. Even by filing a small claims case- the courts in where I reside, if in fact the judgment is in your favor, does not collect the money for you. Dusty is very aware of this, which is why he felt so comfortable to have all his promises in writing. I implore anyone even thing of doing business with this person, to truly think about it before hand. This has been an ever going long nightmare for me, and to date- I have yet to ever get paid. |
