Galleria Optometric Vision Center - 2296 Galleria at Tyler, Riverside, CA 92503 Arrogant, Grossly Overpriced, and provides Poor Service. His Dictator style of practice (I'm the doctor and you're going to do this, buy this, because I said so and you don't ask any questions). The only people who were in his office were ~18yr old kids because they don't know any better or won't stand up to this slimeball. He will not give you a prescription so you can go elsewhere, without enduring his low class Jersey-style heckling and he will put restrictions to taint the prescription so your purchase options are limited when you only need the objective information (measurements) not his brand preference. What is hilarious is that he copies from your prior doctor's prescription. DON'T GO HERE! He charges twice what others do in town (eg exam, contacts fitting & for the contacts). If you don't go along with the plan, he and his staff insults you outwardly, publicly, and despite charging you for full services, which include follow up adjustments, they will say things like we are done working with you, and that is all that is included. He is Dishonest, weird, hums to himself, spews his halitosis (very awful breath) in your face while you are captive in his chair, pushes you around saying "hold still", he rubs his genitals upon you while he straddles you to perform eye exam(no other eye doc has ever done this...), his instruments are dirty which distracts you from an accurate reading in the exam, he gets defensive when you ask simple questions, doesn't inform patients when asked instead gives an "I'm working on it" response dismissing the patient request for information while brushing the patient off so they will shut up and stop inquiring so he can do what he wants instead of making YOU the PATIENT/CONSUMER HAPPY, manipulates insurance benefits to profit him by lowering the quantity of services for the patient, he tried to sell me contacts at about 90% more (almost double) than other optometrist/retailers (not discounters) and he thinks he's an MD to boot(gave advice about medications, told me to stop taking a medication), in other words he practices outside the scope of his license, Worst optometrist/optics retailer I've ever experienced. The insurance company is now and was before aware that he is a problem. He was not only condescending and insulting to me but the insurance company somehow knew he was a problem provider so are reviewing him on their end. If you would like more info on this Optometrist Search "CA Optometry Board" and when you get there on the left search his name under "look-up licensee" for more information. There are some consumer reviews for the recent local Newport Beach location at YELP.com . I'm very surprised he's allowed on any insurance panels. Because unsuspecting insured persons looking for services don't know what trap they are walking into with that office and then that office tries to get you to exhaust your benefits at their office where they charge outrageous fees for everything. Let alone the above issues. I think it might be because this guy is a miserable individual. Who knows, but in this location there are some of the best doctors around. You don't have to deal with this guy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! TERRIBLE!! Misrepresented my benefits to me to try to sell me products at an inflated rate.
