Dr. Bill Matt (aka Dr. Bill Smith) contacted me recently from a craigslist ad for childcare. He said he has 2 year old twins and wanted 5 weeks of care for them. He asked for my personal information so that he could pay me in full for all five weeks. This did not seem right so I told him that if he proved who he was (ie. copy of drivers license, home address etc...) I would tell him who I was. He just continued to beat around the bush and not provide me with very much information. Here are copies of the e-mails we sent back and forth to each other. Beware of this man - I do not know what he wants- but it sure is not childcare.

The price would be $xxx a week for 5 days 8 hours a day for both kids with meals. I love little ones. If there are any behavior problems (swearing, biting, kicking, hitting, not listing after the third warning) I use the time out method. This time out is just them sitting in our hallway for 1-4 minutes depending on what they did. Children are innocent sweet little things nothing they can do is really that bad. I want to assure you that money is not my problem as i will be making payment arrangement to you prior to my arrival.You will be providing them breakfast,lunch and snacks.The Kids are potty trained and they are free eater. Thanks for the prompt response, I have informed my colleague that i have gotten someone who will be caring for my Kids and am really looking up to the care you will give to my KIDS. I will have the deposit and the payment for your service for babysitting my Kids made to you prior to my arrival, Also I have contacted a store that will be shipping the KIDS item and packages to your address with the KIDS toys,i just want to inform you about this and i will be forwarding money for the KIDS item plus your a month wages,so you can forward the money for the KIDS item to the Store Manager and she can send the items to you before i arrive with the KIDS and so you can put everything in place prior to our arrival.

My response: I can absolutely do that. However before I give you all of my information, I would like you to verify who you are. I have a child of my own and I am overly protective. Is there a website for your practice or place of employment where I could see who you are. If not maybe a drivers license and home address. Because this ad was listed on craigslist I need more information about you. There are a lot of crazy people in the world. Not saying you are one, I just need to know that you're not. Well I did my research and it turns out you are a scam artist. You have gone by several different names (Dr. Bill Smith) but always the same story (Twins, dead wife, etc...). I found you. Do not contact me again. I will call the police. By the way take a look at this....... It's all about YOU! In conclusion I would like to thank scam Report for helping me find out about this scammer.
