Divine Comfort Products Divine Hvac Inc. guilty of deceptive business practices and preying on the elderly Chatsworth, California |

This company is guilty of deceptive business practices and preying on the elderly. They sold my mother a job she didn't need and knew that she was being serviced by another company. Her A/C unit was replaced by another company less than a year ago. The unit is still under warranty and she has a service contract with the other company. The air ducts were inspected when the unit was replaced and were okay. Divine Comfort Products sent a rep to my mother's home to service her A/C unit and inspect the air ducts. The unit is obviously new and there is a sticker with the other company's name on it. My mother has dementia and is easily confused. Divines salesman got her to sign a contract for $2,200.00 and replaced the air ducts! |

I also had service from Divine Comfort Products and their employee wasn't professional and charged much higher than market price. As part of tune-up, he found some issue with one of the capacitor and was asking additional $122 while the market price for the same capacitor is $18.75. I made a mistake of checking them afterwards and found that they have several complaints and charged much higher price for the services they provide. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. |

Divine Comfort Products called us, implying previous relationship, asked to come and do “annual inspection” of our system. Technician returned from attic with photos on his phone of rat droppings and a filthy clogged system. Convinced us to buy insurance policy covering current repairs (including burned out $300 UV light) and any needed repairs for next 5 years. Made appointment to came back and do work next day. Later we became suspicious, crawled into attic and found photos were not of our attic, no rat droppings. Contractor friend came and opened up system. It was totally clean and working perfectly. UV light had been unplugged but was fine when plugged back in. |
