Dish network They want to charge me to cancel service because we were unable to watch TV for six months Internet

Used dish network for almost a year. We had problems right from the start. Satellite would lose signal on occasion, we would call dish customer service. They would tell us to unplug the receiver and the system would reset itself. The problem was it got worse and worse, then the dvr would start to freeze up. That meant when you were in bed watching TV at night and it would lose signal, you would have to get up and unplug the system, wait 10-15 minutes while it went through its restart, then you could watch TV, but don't run back the dvr or you'll be doing it again. The calls went on to dish's award winning customer service for about nine months. Their customer service would tell me storms, clouds, trees or planes would cause this. To make matters worse, dish wasted to charge me a service call to send someone out to fix the problem.
After all this I cancelled their service and ordered Directv. Their tech found out that the sat dish was loose and would move when ever the wind would blow. The dvr was defective. I have had Directv seven months now and can watch TV again. I got a call from dish today 1-800-333-3474 and they told me I was being charged $125.00 for cancelling their service early. Whats funny is the man said we had a contract and I broke it. Well dish, contracts work both ways. I paid you for a service and you did not hold up your end of the agreement. I believe I am owed for the months of lack of service and the crappy install your tech did. Anyway this is my complaint in short. Many other things transpired that demonstrated how poor their customer service really is. If you are looking for satellite service avoid the problems of dish and order Directv.
