A woman called and said that she was calling from DHWA, and that I owed them money for Some all-purpose cleaner I'd bought from them 12-12-2009, which, of course never happened. She told me that the actual product cost $60, but given all the fees I'd allowed to rack up, the bill now stood at $82, and how would I be paying for it today. The phone number is 562-866-8745, and shows up as kendrick DHWA. Yet, when I look up the number, it is a Verizon land line, belonging to: Yoon S. Chang. Also, depending upon the site used, to research the phone number, the address is listed as: Bellflower, CA, Norwalk, CA, or Fullerton, CA. The address shown is: 1315 Peckham St. #3, Fullerton, CA. 92833. DHWA: Disabled and Handicapped Workers of American, the name the caller provided, has no website, that I could fine. |

THIS IS A SCAM ! These people target elderly citizens who are possibly afraid they forget things and who have always paid their bills. WITH SO MANY COMPLAINTS - HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?
They are the lowest of the low preying on people who are innocent and conscientious. We must simply get the word out to protect others if the law does nothing to shut them down! After I was called by DHWA I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and contacted the District Attorney's office in my county. Know that
you will not be held responsible for any payment UNLESS A BILL HAS BEEN SENT TO YOU. If you receive nothing in writing, only a phone call, you need not worry. They can do nothing but threaten. No court action can be initiated. Contact Consumer Protection Agency in your area if you are scammed by this unscrupulous group of low-lifes. |

I just received a phone call from Rebecca from DHWA that I owed a bill for some shears and pliers I ordered in 2011 from them. She said she was from an inside collection agency in the company and that if I didn't pay
she was turning it over to a collection agency. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told that I owed $99.00. Rebecca had slipped and said the shears were $11.00 and I'm sure the other item was equally inexpensive. I do remember getting kitchen shears from them and the were really crappy and I do remember paying the bill. It was way before 2011, however. Anyway, I told them I wanted to look through
my records and then called back and asked Rebecca to send me an itemized bill so that I might pay it.
She refused and told me she was turning it over to collections. I said go ahead I'm 70 years old and don't
really care about my credit anymore since I have a home and a new car and won't be needing any large
items anymore. By the way, both Rebecca and her Supervisor were very rude and demanding. |
