Direct Tv Rebate scam!! I have been overcharged $40.00 a month for 18 months!! Edmonds, Washington

In May 2010 I signed up with Direct Tv. They were advertising an offer for $29.99 per month. For the last year and a half Direct Tv has been saying they never received my online rebate (even though it was immediately completed), and have been charging me at least $70 a month! I have spent countless hours on the phone with managers and no one ever returns my calls as promised. They trick people into signed a contract with them and then will not honor your rebate unless you complain in the first 90 days. You should NOT be required to fill out an online rebate form in order to get the advertised price! There is no way to prove you have completed it and them they have no reason to uphold their end. They do not send a bill out until after the first 90 days are over then tell you sorry we can't do anything, you only had the first 90 days to complain and now we have you! They have a $400 early cancellation fee. I feel Direct Tv is missleading customers with their offers and as soon as you sign up they could care less. They have shady business practices and false promises. I have emailed their managers online and never received any response. I have threatened to take their scam public and they don't care. They feel untouchable since you cannot speak directly to anyone who can actually make a change. I'm sick and tired of big compaines taking advantage of hard working people!
