DIRECT TV HARRASSMENT TO THE FULLEST(Cowardly Bunch of Bullies), Internet |
13th of Dec, 2011 by User946229 |
I signed up for "Direct TV" this past August, and went all out with purchasing everything from A to Z including two receivers and even internet from their bundle package for my apartment. The first thing that threw me off was the fact that the two installers were trying to solicit money($500.00) from me to give me free internet and cancel the internet service that I ordered from Direct TV. Being that these guys barely spoke English, and the fact that I'm not a fool; I politely declined. They then finished the installation, the cable worked, I tipped them generously and watched TV for an hour before heading out. Anyway, once I returned to my apartment that day; I HAD NO SIGNAL. I called DIRECT TV and trouble-shooted for about an hour to no avail. They then told me that they would send out those installers the next day(Sunday), but they never showed up, so I called DIRECT TV back. We trouble-shooted again for about an hour to no avail and then they promptly set me up with another appointment the very next evening(Monday). GUESS WHAT? YEAH! They didn't show up AGAIN! So, I called DIRECT TV again, and they set me up with yet another appointment between 5PM and 8PM on WEDNESDAY. 1PM on Wednesday, I get a phone call from an DIRECT TV technician who barely speaks any English and is pleading with me to show up because I am his last call of the day. I refused since I was busy at work and told him I'd be there at 5PM like the original appointment was arranged. That didn't deter him from harrassing me for the next 3 hours and even having his supervisor plead with me to show up hours early for the appointment because he wanted to go home LMAO!!!! I refused, showed up at 5PM and called the technician's phone. He said he was nearby and would show up very soon. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I was stood up 3 times in 3 days and was very agitated. Upon calling DIRECT TV the next day and setting up another appointment, I stated that I wanted an English speaking technician who's responsible and not lazy or else I would throw the DIRECT TV dish off the roof. They set me up with another appointment the next day and guess what??? NOBODY SHOWED UP I called DIRECT TV back and they told me that my appointment was cancelled. Then they told me that I would be receiving a letter in the mail explaining why my contract had been cancelled without any notification!!! The legl team sent me a letter stating that "I threatened bodily harm on their employees if they were NON-CAUCASIAN ------> LOL. Anyway, guess what happened next? They sent me an "early termination fee" of $460.00 for which I called up and argued my way out of with their legal department. That same phone call, they stated that they wanted me back as a DIRECT TV customer and offered me unbelievable deals!!! I don't sleep with whores, and sure as h*ll don't wake up with them either. I politely refused and went back to OPTIMUM who gave me the deal of a lifetime for leaving DIRECT TV. The next thing I did was dispute the first month's DIRECT TV charge and their installation charge through my AMEX dispute center. DIRECT TV never even responded to their inquires and the charges were waived. Then the phone calls started rolling in at least 5 to 10 times a day from DIRECT TV offering me great deals. I called up and told them to remove me from their "call list" after two weeks of harrassing phone pitches!!! Then I started getting this bill for $130.00 for a programming adjustment??? I never had any programming??? I called DIRECT TV to get an explanation for this charge and was told that they couldn't specify but it looked like they were charging me for the amount that was waived by AMEX after their investigation. The service rep also told me that it was sent to a collection agency!?!?!?! Within a few weeks, a collection agency is now harrassing me for $130.00 on behalf of DIRECT TV. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE |
