My experience with Direct TV is no laughing matter, but the representatives who assist me by phone do just that. I am a calm cool collected person who rarely loses my temper. I honestly want them to remove their materials from my property. On initial set up they cause property damage to my new home by drilling through my second level window casings. My Husband was so mad when he came home as we'll need to disconnect when it comes time for new window installation. The technician actually left the original satellite dish on my home which appeared to be 100 years old. We received limited to no signal at best. I called for support later that night and the said they would send a tech again which wanted to charge me $50 for the service call after only 24 hours of set up with no service! A supervisor came out the follow day to check the installation and suggested I file a property damage claim for a # of reasons. So I called to do just that and they gave me instructions to hirer my own certified and licensed inspector. I had to pay $300 for one and then mail the report with photos to some PO box. 6 months later I get a letter denying my claim! Great now I have property damage, a $300 bill and still lousy service. Since then (Now almost a year later) I continue to lose service due to weather. Some may say this is normal but allow me to describe the weather issues. It's raining, it's snowing, it sunny and humid (too hot), it's cloudy, it's foggy, it's dry, it's cold, it's party cloudy with passing drizzle, it's windy. IT"S NEW ENGLAND Today's Direct TV signal strength 0 0 0 54 0 0 28 17 0 0 28 0 0 14 0 28 0 0 0 0 62 0 0 12 0 17 0 0 0 24 0 0 Basically every channel I turn to says (searching 771) I called for service again and they'll send another technician. The problem will never be resolved and they DO NOT issue credits for service interruption. If I cancel my service they wants the full contract paid. If I cancel the card they have on file they will go to collections further damaging my chance to refinance on my new home! I HATE HATE HATE DIRECT TV and I would strongly recommend avoiding their service! |

This co is the BIGGEST joke ever! I got sucked into their 'bundles BS'. Turned out there was NO internet/ph serv after they delightfully set me up on TV and transfered me to another co. to handle the rest. Start all over again... Ah - No serv!. I disconnected and to add insult to injury they charge me for the contract cancellation fee - almost $1000.00! You call and ask for their CEO, no dice! Whatever you do STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BS CO! |
