| Dine and Discounts Mike Gerken Took money, then disappeared Internet |

| I noticed a couple of reports on here from people have been scammed by Mike Gerken and his company Dine and Discounts. I also noticed a couple of people who say Dine and Discounts is a good company. I thought people should know my experience with Mr. Gerken. I gave Mike Gerken a down payment of several thousand dollars to start a Dine and Discounts business in my area, shortly after making this payment Mike would not return my calls or emails. I am not afraid to work, as was suggested by one of the rebuttals, and was excited to get this business going but I did purchase a so called proven system and some training and support. These things have not been provided and all my attempts to contact Mr Gerken have not been successful. He was available when we were discussing starting my business but since sending some money he is no where to be found. From my experience I would not recommend anyone doing business or fundraising with Dine and Discounts and certainly would not enter into any business dealing with Mike Gerken. |

| Sorry to hear that! I certainly feel your pain! I was a "friend" of Mr Gerken's, although I have come to realize he has NO idea what the word "friend" even means. I too got sucked into his promises...hopes and dreams of making this a better place for the kids!! After a $10k investment in Dec 2007, of which I had to borrow from the bank... I not only lost all of that plus A LOT more, I started to uncover all the lies and deceptions by Mr. Gerken. I worked my business very hard and am a very honest and ethical person. After 2 1/2 years... I decided I couldn't put a price on my reputation and standards and just "walked away". I told him him to do with my territories whatever he wished, as reselling them would classify me as the same liar and cheat that he is and I couldn't/ wouldn't do that. Now 2012... I am still feeling the bitterness of regret and loss... feeling cheated everyday by someone I considered my friend... someone whom I trusted and cared about. It will take me another 2 years to work my way out of the debt of DAD. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wish to God I would have not taken that leap of faith! I will always believe that what we were doing was great and wonderful for the kids, but with a liar and cheater at the helm... what hope did the ship have of survival??? NONE... that's what! My so-called friend has not emailed or called in almost 2 years!! BIG surprise there that he can't face me and live up to stabbing me in the back! Anyone even slightly interested in Dine and Discounts should RUN as fast as they can in the OPPOSITE direction! Trust me!!! I really wish I would have!!! |
