DigiExpress The Ipod Professionals Waste of time, total ripoff, Kept my Ipod from 2/18/2011-4/16/2011 w/o making repairs. New Kensington, Pennsylvania

On 2-18, I sent in my 1st Gen IPod to Digiexpress after reading numerous onsite testimonials praising the excellent service and great value for money from this company. All I can say is these people must have been paid for their comments. My device had stopped responding to the touch commands and was no longer holding a battery charge for a substantial amount of time. I included a new Apple Replacement Glass and Digitizer for the device and a new Apple battery since the original battery was 4 years old and shipped it via express mail after obtaining the Digiexpress order setup approval. I was told the turn around on repairs was very quick, usually 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks of no contact, I called Digiexpress and was on hold 49 minutes until the switchboard recording came on and told me the business was now closed and to call back the next business day. This happened the next day as well after holding for 41 minutes. Over the course of the next week, I sent several emails with no response. On March 11, I called Digiexpress and instead of pushing the number to talk with a representative, I pushed the number to pay a representative. After holding only 22 minutes, I reached a real live human being. I spoke with Chelsea who advised me that Digiexpress did not allow the use of any parts mailed in with the equipment even though they were authentic Apple
replacement parts. I would have to purchase the replacement parts through Digiexpress if they were going to make the repairs. Digiexpress, would of course, return my brand new authentic Apple replacement parts to me. I asked why this had not been explained to me Digiexpress had received the IPod over 2 weeks earlier and she had no answer. I gave the go ahead to make the repairs and to be screwed since I was leaving for Iraq in 5 weeks and wanted to take my IPod with me. On April 13th, I called to see where my IPod was since I again had not received any word from Digiexpress in over a month. I was told that they had decided that they could not repair the device since the motherboard was now the problem. DIGIEXPRESS is a RIPOFF Stay as far away as you can.
