United Kingdom I emailed the company below from Spain where
we live about the vehicle advertised. The salesperson called Russ
assured me the vehicle was a 4 cylinder (not a 3) and if i paid the
asking price they would fully service it valet it etc. On that basis I paid a 100 deposit as requested. I then flew to the UK FROM Spain and the vehicle was
just being finished it's service. I asked him to cross of my checklist we had agreed when discussing the vehicle by telephone..He did this and when it came to the 4 cylinder confirmation - he then called the garage to ask what oil was
used in the service as I needed to know for the long drive back.. Ivwas distracted by this call that he made and not until I was in spain
did I see the box was not ticked verifying a 4 cylinder. This cannot be visually 43 cylinder cannot be seen - as the whole engine cover has to be removed and it was not something I am qualified to do. I asked to pay by PAYPAL but they declined saying they did not handle that. So I paid by mastercard
reluctantly..I have over a 500 star rating for purchases with ebay where the vehicle was advertised. We trust Paypal implicitly as it works 100% on bad sales. On the way back to spain about 200 miles the Air con stopped working. The garage in Spain said it had merely been gassed as thier was a leak in the main condenser and it would only last a few days before stopping all together. (It appeared to be just gassed to pass on collection) Then to my horror he looked to verify the 4 cylinder status by removing the large engine cover and said ..THIS IS ONLY A 3 cylinder. I have about 15 emails trying to negotiate with this company and they have merely said thier
was nothing in the agreement to say it was a 4 cylinder. (Naturally because they confirmed this verbally by telephone when he returned
the call) my email answered to them was to avoid complications arising. THEY dodged the question when ticking off what the salesperson called Russ confirmed when he telephoned me to assure me it was a 4 cylinder Hyundai Matrix Diesel I want a FULL REFUND AND NO QUIBBLES. I am a pensioner and have saved hard to buy this type of vehicle \i enquired about. I also had looked at the rating of thier company as
100% but on investigating now -because of the issue it is also a
lie,,Not on cars but 6 other items. ALSO they said only a 30 day A Guarantee stated in their ADVERT CLEARLY STATES 3 MONTHS. Please
I need your help. I am back in England by plane because a relative is dying and I cannot get this company to honour Ebays rules. They simply ignore me.
I have all the emails and garage in Spain and a quote for 500 euros for the aircon alone. I wanted and paid for a 4 cylinder car and I have been ripped of BIG TIME. Your Sincerely Malcolm Tilley
