For about 6 months now I have been receiving phone calls from a 303 area code from a Middle Eastern accented male calling himself "John Smith" and 2 female middle eastern accented who will not give me their names. At first they were claiming to be lawyers and told me that if I didn't answer their questions or accept response from them they were going to file a lawsuit against me the fallowing day. When I asked them what the lawsuit was for they never once gave me a straight answer, the closest most ridiculous answer i could get was it was because I didn't accept a payday loan!!! This story and phone calls continued everyday, a few times a day for two straight weeks until I finally filed a police report with my local sheriffs office for harassment and due to the fact that they had my social security number which they would not tell me how they had gotten it. The phone calls had finally stopped after I filed the report, or so I thought. Now starting 3 days ago the same number has began to call me again leaving voice mails (how stupid are these people to leave something I can save and allow the police and lawyers to listen to?). Now it is the same middle eastern guy calling himself Joseph "something" (I can't understand him) stating that he is a "Police Officer" from "The Department of Law and Investigation" stating that if I don't return his calls and sort through "This Matter" he has a warrant for my arrest and will have me put in jail within 72 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! This person also now has my fiances cell phone number and our friends cell phone number. Over the last 3 days they have left me 6 voicemails, called my fiance 4 times and our friend twice. I yet again made a police report to my local police department thinking they could do more then the sheriffs department, but they told me that nothing could be done until my social security was used or and became a victim of fraud in some way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that crap!!!! I have to wait for something bad to happen before I can do anything about it instead of preventing it in the first place!!!! Any help on this situation or what I can do please please let me know, as I'm not getting any help locally. |
