David Shield, ????????? DavidShield, ????????? Ripoff Insurance company, confusing emails, trying not to pay for legitimate claims Netanya , Other |

This "insurance" company will do ANYTHING they can not to pay for legitimate claims. I had numerous problems with them in the past but now they have gone too far. I had broken my rib on the 25th of December and after going to the doctors submitted a claim for 95 Euro two days later (December 27th). Today, January 3rd, the company sends me an email that they will not be paying my medical costs because they are less than 200 Euro which is the amount that I should pay myself, per year, before they start paying for medical expenses. Problem is - I ALREADY PAID this amount for 2011. But now they are trying to claim that as it is 2012, this amount should be paid by me. They disregard the fact that the accident, the treatment, and reporting about it ALL HAPPENED STILL IN 2011 !!! they have WAITED with their answer for after the new year so they can make this RIDICULOUS CLAIM. Do not forget that in Israel there is no Xmas or New Year vacation so there is no reason why the claim shouldn't have been approved before the new year. But that doesn't matter at all as it should have been approved, of course, anyway! On top of that, this company is using tactics to make it very difficult for you to understand if they paid or not for your claims. They send an email which says that your claim was "processed" and that: ההחזר הכספי יועבר ישירות לחשבו×ך בחברת כרטיס ×”×שר××™ שלך תוך 5 ימי עסקי"×." which in English means "the refund will be sent to your credit card within 5 days" They add this sentence EVEN WHEN THEY REJECT YOUR CLAIM while hiding the fact of the rejection in a table that has no less than 15 columns all with very similar and confusing titles! They are doing this in order to confuse you into thinking that the claim was approved when, in fact, it has not been. Every interaction with this company, other than with their sales people of course, feels as if they are trying to RIP YOU OFF. I can't imagine what problems they would give me if I had a real claim, for several thousand dollars or more. I highly suggest anyone not to deal with this company and I will also be contacting the authorities in Israel to inform them of these tactics so hopefully their license to give insurance services will be revoked. |
