I was a owner operator leased to Dart Transit for 3 years. First year they took $.04 a mile and put it into maintenance accout for truck repairs which over the course of employment rose to $.07 a mile from my earnings went into this maintenance account for the truck. I was the victim of a hit and run and my truck was totalled. I had outside financing for the truck thru Wells Fargo. They told me I owned them $5400 more than the truck was worth. I had $4200 saved in my maintenance account and Highway Sales and Dart took my earnings to pay Wells Fargo for the truck. Dart had no right to take my wages, I owed Wells Fargo it was up to them to come after me since it was their money. I never heard anything from Wells Fargo and never got any paperwork for the value of the truck what the insurance comany settled for or any papers on when Dart sold my truck to a salvage yard I never seen a penny it was all done behind my back with no proof of anything. To top it all off I was disqualifies as a driver from Dart because they said the hit and run was preventable accident. I have proven by Darts electronic logs and GPS I was traveling 56 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on the interstate. The Estes Express truck driver that hit me never stopped. So I recieved a citation in the mail from the Pennsylvania State Police a week later for driving to fast for conditions cause I ended up in the ditch. If this is not a scam and grave injustice I dont know what is. I lost my truck, I lost my job, Dart stole my money, I got a ticket all because the incompetent Estes Express driver never stopped after he hit me and ran me off the road. Estes Express wont do anything cause I got the ticket saying it was a single vehicle crash and they dont have any GPS or on board computers in their trucks. I lost $ 14,700 and I am at my wits end going nuts with this incident.
