Consumer reviews and reports on scam companies, bad products and services
Danny Perry / Pacific Rides Chatsworth Calif
a dishonest and incompetent business owner
16th of Apr, 2014 by The Trurth be told
2. In November 2009 Danny Perry purchased a xlint business with sales exceeding 1 million a year and has mismanaged badly. He blames former management for his own complete lack of ability and skill. Danny Perry bought the business in 2009 and the seller carried back a note to help Danny with the business.

3. Danny Perry signed a note for this in the amount of $75, 000 and then made only 1 payment and then defaulted. He scammed the company out the money and then began making false claims of why he would not pay.

4. This is a completely bogus and phoney report (written by Danny Perry) as again there is no such person as Mr. Cullar, the fake customer name made up by Danny Perry himself.

5. So let us make this perfectly clear, there was no ATV sold to a MR Cullar, the factory does not allow will calls of ATVs at the factory. This was written by Mr Perry as way to try and hurt an honest business man, Gary Kovner. In my opinion because Mr Perry was unable to properly run his own business so he likes to blame everyone but himself for his own bad management.

6. In the sale of the business Mr Perry contacted us and made an offer for it. Mr Perry and his accountant did a complete audit of the business, the books, the inventory, and the tax returns. He then after vetting and reviewing all of these business documents, entered into a legal escrow. The contracts were drawn up by attorney and fully approved by Mr Perry. At no time was Mr Perry guaranteed any type of income as he falsely states in this bogus report. So his claims of the records being wrong are a complete lie again! They were 100% accurate

7. Mr Perry then had his attorney contact us in late 2010 about 1 year after he purchased the business. Danny made all these false claims to demand money from us. His attorney reviewed the records and tax returns and promptly dropped the case. If there were any merit to his case then a lawsuit would have ensued, never happened. It is then Danny Perry filed this bogus report, as he in my view, has always had to blame someone else for his own incompetence in running his business.

8. Mr Perry claims that we opened a business down the street from him which is false. The Corporate office and partners of Motobuys are not even located in the same state. So his claim that we opened down the street is a lie. Mr Perry was indeed informed that we had an internet business before he bought the dealership, and that is what we would be doing that in the future. The contract signed by Mr. Perry has a Non-Compete clause for a 30 mile radius from the Pacific Rides location. We never shipped anything within that area.

9. The falsehood Mr Perry has told here that we are not legally selling atv's or dirt bikes is a major lie also. Motobuys provides all the title paperwork for any customer to register an ATV in all states.

10. If you are dealership of Saturn or Pontiac and the factory makes decision to cease operation how is that the dealers fault or the former owner of the dealership. Mr Perry claims that we as a dealer have some type of control over a vehicle manufacturer closing is so outrageous and silly that it is laughable. He claims that we somehow knew Joyner was going to cease operation. What Mr Perry did not tell you is that Joyner gave him financing (flooring) and he failed to sell any of the units and/or he did not pay them. They came in and repossessed the units he had at his store. Some many months later after he already lost the line, GE who was the financing arm of Joyner shut down the operation. So again you can see how dishonest Mr Perry is in his statements.

11. Motobuys is an accredited business with the BBB, we are Buy Safe guaranteed, Verisign approved and Yahoo certified. If you have any interest to discuss the truth about this completely false report you can contact Gary Kovner at 877-667-6289. However we felt the truth needed to be posted here about this fake and phoney report posted by Danny Perry.

So in summation there never was a an ATV purchased by a Mr. Cullar aka Danny Perry. Mr Perry made this fake report to try and damage the reputation of Gary Kovner and Motobuys. He blames his own inability as businessman to profitably run Pacific Rides as the former owner did on the former owner and not himself. This a childish attempt to hurt the former owner. We might also add that Danny Perry was left an xlint staff who mostly have all left the company, not wanting to work there any longer.

Motobuys is confident that our longstanding commitment to satisfy our customers will stand on it's own merits regardless of fake reports like this one.
