Danny Hyppolite Dalyboy Belgason Crooked movie producer fails to pay his crew and makes off with personal property! Kennesaw, Georgia |

Danny Hyppolite initially lied about his real name to his crew (Claiming it was Dalyboy Belgason). He hired us to shoot a production of "Heartbreaker's Revenge", a movie he claimed to have written (it had spelling errors, and improper formatting, funny coming from an alleged "seasoned pro of 16 feature films". His lies only continued from there. After being carpooled out of the city to Desert Hot Springs, CA, Dalyboy proceeded to put on the biggest disaster of a film production I'd ever been a part of. I should've walked when I had the chance, but he continued to promise payment for my work on the camera crew and I didn't have a ride home anyway. We had to strike on the eve of the last day of shooting in order to ensure we would be paid. Promise after promise came in from Dalyboy that he was on his way to the bank, and "in line at the bank". Instead, when he returned the set after hours away, he claimed he had to wait to pay us until an associate of his was present. The hours kept ticking. It was 3am when I contacted this "associate" and he claimed that Daly had said nothing about a meeting about paying us. Another lie. I finally confronted Dalyboy about returning a hard drive he had stolen from the crew and threatened to call the police if he didn't return it and pay us the money he owed us for working the previous 10 days. After spouting obscenities at me and the crew for a few minutes and calling us "stupid" and "retarded" (is this guy in middle school still?), he drove off in his car, leaving his family and Van Vicker (an African Film Star) behind on set and never returned. A few days later, we all got texts from him claiming that he was sorry, and that we were all going to get paid in a week. He has since disappeared. I am owed $1700 for my work as well as the equipment I brought to the production over ten days (he actually gave me $300 cash to prevent me from walking away one day). I even enlisted the help of trusted filmmaking colleagues to rent the camera (Epic solutions, LLC, who have also filed a report) as well as the film's sound mixer, none of whom have been paid. His office on Sunset Blvd where we shot for one night has been abandoned and the owners of the building claim that he owes them over $8,000. I'm filing a lawsuit in small claims court. If anyone has any information on Dalyboy Belgason (Danny Hyppolite) or Islandstars Productions, please let me know. Thanks
