Dan Fine answered an ad I had on Craigslist for a roommate. He seemed like a great guy and did not show up on any background check sites. He moved in on June 7, 2011. As it turns out he runs his California Sportsmen Association from his bedroom 24/7 loud and noisy. Non stop talking and supplies and equipment in and out of my home. He paid me one week late the first month after I took a bounced check to his bank. Never did pay all the deposit after I was kind enough to wait for his "paycheck". The second month he was a week late and gave his notice to move on Oct. 1. After I waited for one week for the rent he slipped away while no one was home owing me for sure 1 week and really the whole month as I did not have a chance to find a new renter. He owes me rent $680 and money to Cox cable, At&t and California Child Services child for support for his daughter in the amount of $500. per month. Do not let him move into your home. He will drive everyone crazy, leave a huge mess and move out without notice and not pay. I understand now from research that this is his MO and this is how he lives. I also went to an attorney who researched California licensing and insurance. His business is bogus he does not have any business license to do anything with fishing, hunting or guns and he does not have insurance. I believe that his new address which he is claiming is his "New Store" is 4258 Peck Rd. El Monte, CA 91732 and a new number 626-399-6473 old number 714-818-6847. If you google the address you will see that it is a house. Please warn everyone especially all fishing boat companies and trade show people and possible roommates. He is a scoundrel, liar and thief. I hope that someone with resources can catch him. If you have any questions or wish to report any fraud call Orange County Sheriff's Department Lake Forest ask for officer Laura Ashley at 714-647-6150 she is familiar with his cases. I am not listing my name because I do not want it out on the net. those involved know who I am. I understand that he has purchased a fishing boat called "Tidechange". He is now taking out charters on his own. He does not have a license, experience or insurance for this enterprise. If you search for the vessel "Tidechange" you will see incorrect information regarding the owner. If anyone has information about the location of this vessel please contact the sheriffs dept. Laura Ashley Thank you |
