I came here recently to have my hair cut and colored. I had pictures of the cut, color, and accent colors. I was very straight forward with what I wanted and was looking for. The stylist was nice enough but I could tell she did not want to do what I was asking for. We came somewhat to a compromise, and I was under the impression there was a pretty clear understanding of what I wanted. I was there to have color stripped, and re-colored. She wasn't able to strip all of the old color and had the attitude "eh, we'll still try the new color and see what happens" ( knowing the old color wasn't sucessfully stripped and there was a chance it would not come out right). Right before she was supposed to start coloring, she comes out and says ( after we talked and agreed on a color that was a bit darker) "Yea, I'm gonna go even darker to cover the other color." I wasn't even able to see, or make a choice before she started putting it in my hair. I also wanted some blonde in my hair, not blonde hilights, blonde accents. Well, after she washed my hair, I noticed she had put blonde in as she was coloring and since she put it right over the old color, it turned pink.... Yup. Pink. Again her attitude was " Oh well, just thought I'd try it." So on to the cut, I told her and showed her what I wanted. It was pretty simple. Again, didn't happen. After all was said and done, even with nothing I came in to get, I was somewhat happy with the hair and it made me feel even better that during the whole process she kept telling me that I had to come back because I wasn't finished. The overall color had to be re-done, and the hilights came out PINK ( reiterating for effect). So I was told to come back, that my hair would be finished, in two Saturdays. When I came home I noticed more and more things I did not like, nor ask for. I had highlights all over the back of my hair, alot of my old color was showing through the new color, and the cut was just sloppy and choppy. The stylist knew there were issues, even addressed most of them ( such as old color showing through, blonde turning pink), and that is why I just sucked it up, because I knew she was going to fix it for me. The Saturday she told me to call and make an appt. for, was hurricane Irene. I had to board my windows, and pack to go to a friend's house for the night. The last thought on my mind was getting my hair done. I was going to call them on Monday. When I called them that Monday ( which was August 29th), I was told the next appointment I could make with my stylist was September 17th... 3 weeks later.. I asked " Will I be charged for this? This isn't touch up, this is to finish my hair" " Oh, I dunno, you'll have to talk to your stylist". So I had to wait until September 17th to talk to her. Long story short, I was told since I waited so long to come back, I had to pay to get my hair "touched up. Yup, since I couldn't get an appointment with her until 3 weeks later, I had to pay again. So I hung up and never called back. Just today, when trying to resolve the issue, because my hair looks worse and worse everyday, the situation ended with the stylist now saying my hair was finished the first day, I cancelled an appointment ( which was never officially made), and that it was my problem. No skill, extremely professional, and RUDE. If I knew the treatment I was going to get here, on top of what they would do to my hair I would have never wasted the time, and neither should you. |
