Crown Valley Animal Hospital Scott Ivers, DVM Killed my Dog! Laguna Niguel, California |
27th of Jun, 2011 by User228335 |
I took my yellow lab to Crown Valley Animal Hospital because it appeared his back was bothering him and he was struggling to get up after laying down for a while. Dr. Ivers told me he had arthritis (without taking an x-ray) and prescribed an anti-inflam medicine. Within a few days, my dog began to breathe heavily, lost his appetite and was lethargic. I called Dr. Ivers to tell him how he was doing, and I was told he would be fine. He did not ask to see the dog. A day or two later, I spoke with Dr. Ivers again and told him that my dog was dying! I told him he smelled like he was dying and once again I was told he would be alright. Even the day before he died, I spoke to the doctor once again and was told he would be fine. He died the next day, and I believe it was because of liver failure due to the toxic reaction he had to the anit-inflams medicine prescribed by Dr. Ivers. Dr. Ivers even had the nerve to send me a sympathy card! We now have two yellow labs, and if they were on their death beds I would not take them to Crown Valley Hospital! Since the death of my dog, I have had three people tell me that their dogs died because of the poor treatment received at Crown Valley Animal Hospital! If you love your animal, do not even consider taking them to Dr. Ivers at Crown Valley Hospital! |

This is obviously a desperate and malicious attempt by an individual to destroy my reputation for their personal gain.
This story is completely fictitious. It has holes all over the place and the anonymous human parasite that posted it obviously is unaware of set protocols that are in place at Crown Valley Animal Care Center (CVACC).
Firstly, anyone who would call the hospital explaining that their dog was dying would be directed to bring the dog in immediately, even by a newly trained receptionist. We are a 24/7 hospital. So let's get this straight, we're supposed to believe that after a few days of calling the hospital stating the dog was dying (evidently by smelling the dog??), only to be told 'no worries, he'll be fine', this owner then calls to say the dog has died and then I just pop off a sympathy card. This is not only ridiculous, but it is an outrageous tale.
The individual (or individuals) writing these ludicrous posts should really get their information straight. I'm either accused of running too many unnecessary tests but then again in this case, I evidently am not interested in running any tests. So which one is it since you can't have it both ways.
I realize that we are in a recession and people are getting desperate, but to do so by flagrantly lying in attempt to destroy a person for personal gain is unacceptable. Internet defamation is the coward's way to do so.
I believe that the public sees this for what it is but obviously when you take as much pride in your work as I do, the need to address it seems necessary. In addition, we have an extremely dedicated nursing staff (most of our nurses have been worked with me for 12 to 20+ years and are licensed Registered Veterinary Technicians - the equivalent of a human RN). So you see this is not only a personal attack to me, but to my nurses when an individual attacks our hospital through vicious and untrue posts.
These fictitious posts are currently being investigated, it is amazing how much so-called 'anonymous' information one can uncover. I look forward to bringing this person to justice and will most definitely post the identity of the person(s) once this is settled.
I am more than happy to answer any questions in regard to this post or any other questions you may have. I would also appreciate this anonymous person posting their information, what do you have to hide?
Sincerely, Scott W. Ivers, DVM
