Credit One Bank Credit One Financial FCRA Violation, Credit Report Fraud, Internet |

Dear Sir/Madam; I have had this credit card for almost 2 years and paid fairly well on it. So being a grandmother I decided to make my grandson an authorized user in case of an emergency. He is my executor of my estate. I got the card in his name but he never activated it. Upon doing a random credit check he found Credit One Bank on his credit report, (mind you he never gave his social security number or any other information other than his name & address). So not knowing who Credit One Bank was and a college student he thought someone has obtained a credit cared in my name, which he immediately put a fraud alert on his credit. Then I got a temporary suspension due to this mix up. (which never should have happen in the first place) since it is a FCRA violation for any company to put one person's credit on another's if they are not the spouse or joint user. (Keep in mind my grandson never activated his card). I was asked to sign an affidavit that I my card was not used fraudulently and sent a letter of explanation from my grandson that he has removed the fraud alert and sent both the credit report with the letter from Equifax as proof of the removal. We faxed it once, twice, third & fourth time (with everything they asked for including a copy of my driver's license) they meaning the Fraud Investigation Department. We both signed the affidavit. Account has been closed and reported to my credit bureau as closed by guarantor. Dropping my score over 25 pointsor more. Not to mention never resolving this issue. I have called continuously for months, speaking to numerous supervisors and no one has the same story or knows what to do. I was even sent a new card about 2 months ago and began using it, then when I was going to pay my bill the new card was suspended. Now I have 2 card different numbers on my credit report. I'm done I will fight this thing until I get justice. Someone is going to resolve this matter and return my good name & credit back. I am sure this is a violation of my right with the FCRA and a grounds for a Class Action Law suit if necessary, so Credit Card Companies can treat people fair or be accountable. There is much more to this story but I will stop here. Please help me put a bow on this unfortunate issue and wrap it up. Thank you for you services and consideration. Sincerely, Unfair Treatment and No Justice |
