ok i got layed off and got behind in my payments and my suv got repossesed on nov2 2010. all my fault for getting behind im not complaining about the repo. so the morning i wake up and see me suv gone i knew what happened cause i sort of expected it sooner or later. so i call credit acceptance and find out how much they wanted to get me suv back. like 1000 dollars. so i call my mom to borrow money till income tax and she ays i should just borrow enough to pay it off and be done with it. ok so i call credit acceptance and ask how much the buyout is with the repo fees and everything so im done.they say $3,381.
ok no problem. i go to give them my moms discover card and they dont accept discover. ok so i go through western union they can only take up $2,500 so i had to make 2 payments and had to get hit with 2 processing fees. ok whatever suv will be payed off and no more chance of repos ever so oh well. so i call credit acceptance back to give them conformation number and the lady says they messed up and i still owe $62.00 i told them i would call back in 2 weeks to make payment for 62. so now here is where the real problem starts.
2 weeks i call to make 62 dollar payment and they say i owe $300 dollars but could not tell me why after being transfered around to customer service, repo dept, and redemption and the whole time im just asking to speak to a supervisor finally after 90 minutes i get a supervisor on the phone or at least he says he was. he hears me out and says hold on. comes back on in about 10 minutes and says look just pay the 62 dollars and your account will be closed. lol i said thats all i wanted to do and everyone else kept saying i owed $300 dollars. then he told me i should get the title in 4-6 weeks. all done. not.
5 weeks go by of waiting for the title. i get a call from the credit acceptance foreigners. the ones that call when your payment is late. soon as i hear its them im just thinkin shit something aint right. they want a $172 payment. i laugh and hang up on them cause i can barely understand them anyway. i call customer service and at first they said the money i owe was interest. then they said repo fees. they werent even sure what it was for. once again getting the run around being transfered everywhere but a supervisor and them being very rude and ignorant the whole time.
finally a lady says she just reviewed my account witn a supervisor and its repo fees that they messed up and nerver billed me. if you think about it thats not possible cause my suv would have never been released witout the repo fees being paid. so yesterday i tried contacting neighborhood legal services and they cant help me. i put a complaint on the attorney generals consumer protection website. then i figured credit acceptance might repo me again over this $172 they say i owe and that i clearly dispute paying untill im 100% sure why i owe it and for what. so this morning i called credit acceptance to ask them to send me in writing that if i pay them $172 dollars they will not try to bill me anymore money.
the lady on the phone still being rude says sir your account is closed. im like how is that posibble after all this back and forth arguing and yesterday 7 timescredit acceptance foreigners called me for a payment. the lady had no answer how the $172 got taken care of. transfered me to repo and they couldnt tell me either. they have no balls to admit there wrong and apologize. i hope they get shut down. they are a joke and have no clue how to handle customers and be friendly.if you are a credit acceptance supervisor and read this contact me with an apology and i might take my report off the attorney generals and the BBB website.
