Cottonwood Villas HOA ANOTHER ANGRY HOMEOWNER wESTMINSTER, Colorado |
14th of May, 2011 by User301539 |
Most homeowners at Cottonwoods have given up and don't bother to go to the HOAmeetings they are all deaf, blind and stupid and don't hear a thing they say! To Julie, Newt, and whomever else this might concern: First off, I'd like you to know I got my property assessment in the mail recently, and found out my property dropped another $10,000.00 in value in the past 2 years. My condo is now worth 50% of what it was assessed at 8-10 years ago, and you think you're going to get away with levying an increase on my homeowners association fees?? And who approved this new budget you're proposing? And why is the amount of the increase not stated in the letter with the proxy card attached? I don't recall having a vote one way or the other. And to say we have to have 67% of the homeowners vote it down in order for it to not take effect is just ludicrous. You tried to snowball us last year with your dryer vent proposal and you failed, and you're going to fail on this attempt as well. I don't know what kind of people you think you're dealing with, but I can guarantee you we're not stupid, and what you're doing is not law, it's tyranny. I will be at your meeting Wednesday and you better be prepared to answer some questions. The law would state that it takes 67% of the homeowners to approve an increase in the budget. Do you have that? I'm betting you don't. I'm tired of dealing with you people, and I don't know what your hidden agenda is, but if you're trying to drive people out of Cottonwood Villas for your own benefit, you will be found out and dealt with as deems proper. To increase homeowners association fees on properties that are losing value as we speak is just insane. I guess you've figured out by now I'm not happy, but I'll save my energy for Wednesday's meeting. Just be honest and I will be cordial. Treat me like some lackey and be prepared. You people have no right to raise association fees at this time with the economy the way it is. Thank you for listening, and I'll see you next Wednesday. Regards, John T |
