I placed an order with Lauren Bergmann/Cotton Candy Shop on February 14th, 2010. I received an email receipt stating my order would be processed and I'd receive a follow up email with shipping information. I never received a second email and that was just the first sign something was amiss with my purchase from CCS.
I ordered 2 tutus, 2 onesies, and 2 headbands with bows at a 40% discount from the Valnetine's Day Sale. My total was just under $100 and I was very excited to get such a great "deal" on such adorable clothes for the baby girl I was expecting in July.
Being pregnant and having a lot going on, my purchase completely slipped my mind until my mother reminded me of it on Mother's Day. So, I emailed Cotton Candy Shop just to make sure she had recieved the correct shipping/order information. I got a reply from Lauren Bergmann and she apologized for the delay but assured me she had received my order but because I ordered on Valentine's Day she was backed up with ordered and it would be a couple more weeks. I contacted her every 2 weeks from June until September and everytime she said she was working on my order and would have it shipped 'next week'.
By September I had lost all patience. I placed the order as soon as I found out I was having a baby girl and now part of the order wouldn't even fit her! So, I emailed telling her if I didn't receive my order I would file a complaint with the BBB. She got upset that I would 'lose my patience' with her and promised me that my shipment would be in the mail the following day WITH tracking. I never received a tracking email and after 4 days emailed her to find out when I could expect my package. She then claimed her assistant mailed my package regular mail without any tracking. No package ever arrived.
I emailed one last time and she was very apologetic and said she would either send me a refund or upgrade my order if I would give her a few more days. She claimed to have been dealing with personal and family issues as her excuse for not having completed my order. I said I would happily take the items I had ordered as long as she would send them with tracking.
By now it was October and I was fed up. I told her to send either my refund via certified mail or ship my oder with tracking by October 12th or I would file a complaint. I never heard anything more from her. I filed a complaint with the BBB and she never responded to that.
Today (November 22,2010) I emailed her just to say how disappointed I was especially over something so trivial and she emailed back saying she'd had family tragedies and would send my refund after the Thanksgiving holiday. Im not going to hold my breath! |
