I allowed one of Jason Gilberts Salemen talk me into spending the $997.00 for a Workshop/Bootcamp in La, in Sep. 2010. I was promised that I was what they were looking for, as I was a NEVER GIVE UP kind of guy, BUT I was so leary, I made him put the guarantee in writing. I still have the recodring stating, John Carver, (Salesman) giving me a 120 day guarantee. He said if I wasn't satisfied I could call him on his cell phone, (he did give me a legitimate number - but then was let go from the company!), and he would refund my money, NOT in 30 days, but immediately! I was adamant about that, as we were on the verge of Bankruptcy, and I could NOT afford to spend this money, UNLESS I was sure I would make it back and more. I trusted the Salesperson and Jason Gilbert! The entire process AFTER I PAID was a nightmare, and I truly regret allowing someone to talk me into this Workshop!! I was told after I paid, that a Concierge would call me as soon as i paid, and tell me the details of the Hotel, location, etc., etc. Eighteen days later, I was still asking them for a location, as I needed to make plan? I was also promised that I could take my commercial deals to the event, and Jason would go over them with me, and I would have one on one time with him. In reality, Jason said he no longer did deals with students, and hadn't for quite a while, and the site for submitting deals was shut down. In addition, the time with Jason, turned out to be a group of about 20 people gathered in a room where he tried to sell us all on a $15,000. or $20,000., AND a $30,000. program. Something the salesman promised me would never happen!! On 10/7/10, about 8-9 days after the event, I was lost, on my own, and no one to answer questions, so i made it known how upset I was. I finally ended up speaking to a man named Scotty LaBalle, Jason's right hand man. He was the person who offered me a refund, (3 times in the taped conversation) on 10/7/10, BUT I told him I didn't want it just yet, I had 3 more weeks, and I had so much time and money into it, I wanted to see if I could make any money. I couldn't, so I sent an email, left a voice message, AND sent a certified letter, requesting my refund well within the 120 days after I received my program, OR Charge! I eventually received a response, stating I signed an agreement which stated that by attending the Workshop, I waived all rights to a refund. I knew they were wrong, I would have NEVER in a million years done that, so I told them that it didn't happen, and i wanted my refund. They sent me a copy of a piece of paper, which did have my signature on it, BUT it was a document, that we were ALL told just before entering the Workshop, that it was just legal so they had the right to use any testimonials on their web site, or in commercials, or on the radio show. So, I didn't see one single person reading it, just signing, so they could get in and get a good seat! I didn't read the entire thing, I just started to read to make sure it was what they said, and the top half of the page was. Then I skimmed through the bottom paragraph, and that seemed okay, so I signed and went in. NOW, I finally read the entire document, and one small sentence sandwiched in between the 2 legitimate paragraphs, it states, by signing, you give up any rights to a refund". ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY MISREPRESENTATION, and no one was told it contained that, and it was just a trick to get everyone to sign, so they wouldn't have to honor any refunds? My attoney said they did it intentionally, in the middle of legitimate wording, and now they are going to try to screw you! I filed with the BBB in Neveda, and I received a letter back from them, written by Christina Avalos of CTI, to the BBB, stating that she had already given me a refund of $997., BUT in fact she never did, and when I called her on it, she said that the letter was a mistake, the refund was a mistake, BUT, get this, it had MY NAME, AND MY C/C number on the paperwork, BUT I NEVER rec'd a refund! To this day, 2/17/2011, I am still fighting for a refund, and I am refiling with the BBB, the Attorney General, and the Consumer Protection Agency to start. Then if not refunded, I GET SEERIOUS! My suggestion, save your money!!! Or at least deal with someone who has a track record of standing by his Salespeople and his Assistant, and the companies guarantee. This one hasn't. If they ever do, I'll let you know, but I won't hold my breath after 2 1/2 mths. of dealing with this CRAP!!!
They're too busy trying to make the company into a 'BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS', as Jason said, and that can't happen if you have to honor your guarantee!
