To sum everything up, I was hired by a teeth whitening company that stole another well known teeth whitening company's trademark. One of the company's partners and the one who hired me, Cole Whitaker, also wrote a non sufficient fund check to purchase teeth whitening equipment from Beaming White (The company that got their trademark infringed/stolen)
Before Beaming White could stop shipment of the equipment, when they found that the check bounced, the partner Cole Whitaker had already received the equipment. Thus making him and his partner bigger thieves.
I had no clue I was working for a company that is currently using stolen equipment and ripping people off. I found out because I wasn't getting paid for all the hours I worked and got an invoice from the office saying that Beaming White was behind on rent. Then I found out that Cole Whitaker wrote the office a bounced check.
I quit that week because I wasn't being paid and the thieves weren't paying their office rent. After I quit I contacted Beaming White through email and what do you know, the real president of Beaming White told me that the equipment was purchased by the thieves with an NSF check and they're suing for all types of criminal activity.
Cole Whitaker found out that I wrote a bad review on him and his partner Scott Sheldon's fake company and had a fake lawyer send me a fake cease and desist letter. After I told the fake lawyer I have proof of "his clients" ripping people off, trademark infringing, theft etc and he didn't scare me... I didn't hear anything back from him.
They used livingsocial daily deal site, amongst others, to take peoples money and they ran off with everyones money including mine. Before I found out the equipment was stolen, Cole threatened me that if I didn't send him the equipment via mail, he'd file charges of theft on me. I've never been in trouble with police and didn't want to. So he manipulated me into sending his equipment to him by threatening me. A couple days later, I found out from the president of the real Beaming White it was stolen along with his trademark.
I totally got scammed. From now on I'll run a background check on companies before I accept a position. These thieves think they'll get away with this but they'll get justice handed to them one day.
