On July 30, 2011, I received a sales letter for a program titled "Letter 2 Success" from Clarence Gardner, located somewhere in or near Clarksdale, Mississippi. The letter stated "Guaranteed to Make you Money Now!!!!!" "Let Us Fill Your Mailbox With Cash Money Order's Daily." The letter further goes on, stating the following: My name is Clarence Gardner. I am the Chairman and CEO of Clarence Gardner Inc. I have been working mail order programs for a long time. Despite the many obstacles we face with scammers. My company and I have had been a great success. Our team of experts here at Clarence Gardner Inc. developed a system to make you large sums of money without you doing any work or investing hundreds of dollars to get the money you deserve... He claims that the pay process starts with a 1000-piece mailing done within three days of receipt of the invitation. Your name is placed in the #1 position. He further claims 1000 flyers will be mailed for you every nine days to ensure success. A realistic 5% response will generate (50) orders...that's $25,000! Unfortunately, I fell for this scam and on July 30, 2011, I sent him a Western Union money order for $440. I did this on the condition of his guarantee, claiming: You are Guaranteed to receive no less than $18,000 - $19,000 every 9 days of being with the Letter 2 Success Program. Whatever you decide I am guaranteeing everything in this invitation. This will not fail. Gardner further states: ...if for any reason I am unsatisfied with the way this program is preceding, I will receive a full refund of my money back. At the time of filing this Ripoff Report, it has been one month and I have not received any money. I wrote to Gardner and requested the return of my $440 by September 15, 2011. I further informed Mr. Gardner that I will be contacting the authorities, including the Attorney General's office of his state, the FBI, etc. Also, when I initially telephoned Mr. Gardner, he claimed the program was eight years old and had millions of members. If that were true, then why had I not heard before of this so-called "successful" program ? If you receive anything from Clarence Gardner, I suggest immediately shredding and recycling his drech (crap). Stay far, far away from Clarence Gardner... |
